I, along with the patrons and retinue, From five hundred lifetimes ago, Until this very moment, From ancestors seven generations back, To children and grandchildren, Whatever actions have been done against the wishes of the nagas and earth lords, including their retinues, Digging into the earth spirits, moving stone spirits, Destroying rock spirits or cutting tree spirits, Digging poisonous plants or stirring poisonous water, Cutting field boundaries or building cities, Cutting road spirits or diverting water channels, Making oath spirits, burning hearths, Performing violent actions, pressing down pegs, etc., Whether consciously or unconsciously, unknowingly, Whatever wrong actions have been done, I confess and repent them all. Please accept forgiveness with loving kindness. Gods and demons who hold knowledge mantras, To you, we entrust ourselves, the patrons, and the retinue. Even if we are consumed by fierce mantras, Please accept this effigy offering and smoke offering. Release what has been seized, and untie what has been bound. Furthermore, due to the power of karma and circumstances, If harm has been done in the past, Release the bonds and lift the oppression. From now on, do not harm, and grant Dharma. Kye! During the day, be our watchmen, During the night, be our companions. You are the local deities, I am a person dwelling in this land. People also worship you deities in due time, May the deities also protect the people. Uphold the vows between resident and guest. Since people lack clairvoyance and eyes, If we offend through ignorance or lack of skill, Please accept our apologies. King of the nagas, along with your retinue, Please accept this sacred smoke offering, And grant us increased life and merit. Bestow the prosperity of the people of the royal lineage of nagas, Grant the accomplishment of increasing people and herds of horses. Bestow the wealth prosperity of the noble lineage of nagas, Grant the accomplishment of wealth, livestock, mules, and horses. Bestow the power prosperity of the brahmin lineage of nagas, Grant the accomplishment of the flourishing of Dharma and politics. Bestow the wound prosperity of the outcaste lineage of nagas, Grant the accomplishment of the flourishing of power, wealth, and fame. May the rains fall on time, the crops be good, May we have long life, be free from illness, and possess enjoyment, Grant the accomplishment of fulfilling our wishes. Oṃ! Always like brothers and friends, help each other with loving hearts. May this smoke offering's virtue cause the nagas and earth lords, and all sentient beings in the three realms, to always have happiness and quickly attain complete enlightenment. May the vessel and essence dissolve into themselves, and may oneself also dissolve into the HRIḤ at the heart, and may that HRIḤ also vanish. Naga King Buddha Bhagavan, the Sugata's mind that benefits nagas, the mindstreams of all nagas, and one's own mind, luminosity, and emptiness, may these three be indivisible and one in the dharmadhatu. The smoke offering free from the object and agent of offering, this smoke offering pure in the three spheres, may it purify all stains of delusion, and spontaneously accomplish the great bliss dharmakaya. SARVA SIDDHI PHALA HŪṂ SVĀHĀ. This concise and complete naga smoke offering, with the good intention that it may benefit the nagas' harm, calamities, and great magical powers, was written by the monk named Ra Ga. Whatever errors or mistakes there may be in this, I confess to the Naga King Bhagavan and his retinue. May this virtue pacify the nagas' diseases and harms for all beings, may the ocean of happiness satisfy all beings in this life, and may it be dedicated for the sake of being born in the pure land of great bliss in the future.
