May he be freed from the obstacles of the four hundred and four types of diseases! May he be freed from the obstacles of the eighty thousand types of demons! May he be freed from the obstacles of the three hundred and sixty types of bad omens! May he be freed from the obstacles of the twenty thousand sudden accidents! May he be freed from the harm and demons, both visible and invisible! May he be freed from the obstacles of the nine types of evil spirits, wandering spirits of the dead, and corpse demons! May he be freed from the demons of untimely death and the retribution of life! May he be freed from the obstacles of weapons, poisons, and wild animals! May he be freed from falling into the trap of human words like the beak of a sparrow, and from the obstacles of nightmares, bad omens, and inauspicious times! Offer the bright butter lamps, the food of the gods, to the deities who protect life! Please accept them for the sake of prolonging life and increasing glory! May the precious child's life be fulfilled! May the liberated child, with great power, go to the realm of the gods! Praise the victory of both gods and humans! Subdue the lesser demons, the child-eating demons, and the speckled demons downwards! Transfer the food of the demons and evil spirits downwards! May this fortunate benefactor, the blessed child, become a god among long-lived humans! May he remain steadfast for a hundred years! After saying this, he sat on the white cushion that was previously placed. The ladder of the liberated child was placed towards the direction of the gods. The ladder of the demons was broken and thrown into the torma along with the wrathful image. Then, the mantra practitioner gave a name. Both parents offered auspicious prayers of interdependence. Five types of precious jewels were hung around the neck. Waving the arrow banner, they recited the summoning of life and the summoning of fortune. Offering various grains, they said this: Hūṃ (藏文：ཧཱུྃ།，梵文天城体：हुं，梵文罗马拟音：hūṃ，汉语字面意思：吽)! Three Jewels, paternal and maternal war gods, and the five chief deities, the protecting deities, and the supporting deities, please come here and firmly abide in the body of this fortunate one! Never separate for a moment, like a shadow accompanying the body! Please guard, protect, and do not be negligent, please protect and help! May life, merit, power, wealth, prosperity, and fortune, food, enjoyment, perfect wealth, and all sentient beings increase and expand like the waxing moon! May he live to be a hundred years old and see a hundred autumns!
