Teacher, primarily for the patrons of generosity and merit, may all sentient beings as boundless as the sky be free from the harm of gods above, the harm of nagas below, and the harm of yakshas in between. May all aspects of inauspiciousness, such as the foul breath, violence, distortion, and discord of spirits, humans, and non-humans, be pacified. May immediate obstacles be averted, long-term obscurations be purified, and ultimately, may the state of perfect enlightenment of the Buddha be attained. For this purpose, I will turn the wheel of Dharma, the profound teachings of the Sugata. May we rejoice in the Dharma. May we diligently engage in the yoga of devotion to the Dharma. Tadyatha. Om Muni Muni Maha Muni Ye Svaha. I prostrate and take refuge with body, speech, and mind to the precious teachings of the King of Speech, the Buddha. May I become the master of the teachings, and by proclaiming the great sound of the Dharma, may beings, both human and non-human, be liberated simply by hearing it. May all birds of embodied beings, all trees and rays of light, and even the sky, hear the uninterrupted sound of the Dharma. May the wheel of Dharma be turned according to the thoughts of sentient beings and the differences in their intelligence, for both great and small, common vehicles. Homage. Whatever the language of gods, the language of nagas and yakshas, the language of gandharvas, kumbhandas, and humans, as many sounds as there are of all beings, I will teach the Dharma in each of their own languages.
