难以成行。同样，即使有艰苦的修行和精进，以及清净的戒律和誓言，也不会走上菩提之路，果实仅是声闻和缘觉的程度。如果没有与此菩提心相应，即使获得有漏的五种神通，也无益于成佛，如同外道仙人。即使眷属、弟子和所化对象众多，也无益于获得菩提，如同大天比丘。即使获得八种共同成就，也无益于获得菩提，如同苯教和外道的成就者。考虑到这一点，格陵仁波切说：即使获得八种共同成就，除了稍微奇妙之外，对于获得菩提的必要性很小。所说的意义也是如此。

It is difficult to go. Likewise, even if one has arduous practice and diligence, and pure vows and commitments, one will not go on the path to enlightenment, the result being only the level of Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas. If one does not have this Bodhicitta, even if one obtains the five mundane superknowledges, it will not benefit the attainment of Buddhahood, like an outsider sage. Even if one has a large retinue, disciples, and those to be tamed, it will not benefit the attainment of enlightenment, like the Bhikshu Mahadeva. Even if one obtains the eight common siddhis, it will not benefit the attainment of enlightenment, like the siddhas of Bon and outsiders. Considering this, Glingre said: Even if one obtains the eight common siddhis, other than being slightly wondrous, it is of little necessity for attaining enlightenment. The meaning of what was said is also like that.
