A Ritual for Propitiating Local Deities: The Wish-Fulfilling Jewel, Source of All Desires. A Ritual for Propitiating Local Deities: The Wish-Fulfilling Jewel, Source of All Desires. A Ritual for Propitiating Local Deities, called The Wish-Fulfilling Jewel, Source of All Desires, is hereby presented. Namo Pema Kara Ye! Having paid homage to the powerful Vajra Force, I shall write a ritual for propitiating local deities. Furthermore, by entering the Dharma gate of the practice of the wrathful Guru's arrogant life-force master, it is said that it is good to make requests and offerings to all the local earth-owners, gods, demons, and the eight classes of beings dwelling in this place. And it is said that at the beginning of all mandala procedures, a torma should be offered to the local owner. Therefore, in the Two Examinations Tantra, it is said, "Offer tormas to all beings." The benefits of mantra practice, along with other details, are extensively explained. Moreover, in the root and commentary tantras of the glorious Guhyasamaja, the methods for relying upon and accomplishing all worldly deities and servants are taught. In the activity section of the five wrathful goddesses, the methods for relying upon and accomplishing fierce worldly deities are taught. In the seven chapters of Machig's Cutting Practice, the methods for accomplishing the attainments of worldly earth-owners are taught. Following these methods, on a white base, make an eight-petaled lotus of barley flour. On top of that, in a clean vessel, place a white torma with a victory banner on top, surrounded by five food offerings and many finger marks. Arrange the essence of yak, sheep, and goat offerings of flour, and an arrow with one feather attached to a white silk scarf. In short, rely on one white torma. Visualize any chosen deity, but especially peaceful or wrathful Guru Rinpoche, which is most auspicious. With the samadhi of that, say this: Om Swabhava Shuddha Sarva Dharma Swabhava Shuddho Hang. In front, in the center of a crystal rock precious palace, is the commander of the gods, Mengar Gyal Rig Trom, whose body color is white, possessing the radiance of a kunda flower, with a beautiful smiling face, wearing a conch helmet on his head, adorned with a conch armor, tiger skin shoulder pads, and leopard skin quiver. His right hand raises a white horsewhip, and his left shoulder carries a banner. He rides a crystal white horse with turquoise mane. Furthermore, on all the mountains of the directions, dwell brothers, sisters, craftsmen, ministers, and so forth, surrounded by retinues of many local deities and earth-owners. With light radiating from the heart, invite all the retinues to come. Hung! The red-faced one prophesied by the Victorious Ones.
