A person adorned with five Xin-zang rosettes paid homage and respect to the king, expressing reverence to Trisong Detsen, saying: I am the life-demon who breaks vows, the executioner who breaks vows, the one who suppresses all nightmare mothers, the nemesis of mad demons and goblins. My work is to subdue mad demons and kill hateful enemies. And so on. Thus he reported. Then the king said: This master, because of his noble birth, will not follow others, nor will he harm others; because he is a wise man, he can guide the afterlife to a place of bliss; because he conforms to worldly rules, he can accomplish the four kinds of deeds without hindrance; because he is kind and keeps his vows, he will protect my subjects and their descendants as if they were his own children, never to be separated; because of his unobstructed power, he can visibly subdue mad demons and goblins; I humbly request you to mercifully grant me a life-god who can protect me in upholding the Dharma. The great master said: In general, most of the gods and demons of Tibet are of the Eight Classes of fierce Yakshas. The king's body, the gods do not listen to men. However, the great god Tangla, in the past, was blessed by many Buddhas, abides on the earth, and is the great king of the Gandharvas who sees the truth, as stated in the sutras. He possesses all the above-mentioned qualities, therefore, he should be employed as the king's life-god. Having said that, the master manifested as the body of Hayagriva, and the king and Tangla were both initiated and bound by oath in the mandala of Hayagriva, and until the last of the lineage of the luminous gods passes away, he should be the guardian deity, and the king should worship him. It is said that he is an emanation of Akashagarbha Bodhisattva, the oath-bound White Crystal Goblin, or the Sky God Bodhisattva, or the Brahma King with a conch-shell topknot, the five-petaled Gandharva, or the Lord of the All-pervading Sky Lake, etc., emanating into many names and supporting bodies, protecting the Buddha's teachings, especially in the degenerate age, the leader and support of diseases and the Eight Classes is King Be-kar. First, he was served as a male god, and later he followed the lineage of practice ghosts, and finally became an accomplice of the life-demon who sucks breath, even destroying generations of descendants. That is the jealousy of Ruang at work.

Ru che! Especially when the minds of all beings are afflicted by epilepsy, heart pain, madness, heart ailments, upper body congestion, fainting, delirium, epilepsy, vertigo, and other such afflictions, and when Tibet is about to be destroyed. Therefore, it is necessary to subdue these afflictions with one who embodies the essence of a wisdom deity but takes on the form of a worldly being. Therefore, I, Orgyen, have taught the practice cycle of this great deity. If you make offerings to this deity, he will become the protector and guardian of yogis. He will become the protector, refuge, and war god of those whose faith in the Dharma is pure. In particular, if he is revered as a war god by all high-ranking individuals such as lords and nobles, the signs and omens of auspiciousness will be great. He will accompany you like your body and shadow, accomplishing your desired activities as they are needed. If you practice, there is no possibility of failure. Since this deity is the lord of the three realms, if you conceal and hide him and rely on him as a secret Dharma protector, he will seize the power of all other oath-bound Dharma protectors, male and female. All arrogant oath-bound beings are under his command. It is like a king taking an oath, and his ministers and subjects gathering around him. However, since this deity is extremely fierce, do not speak his name to others; keep him very secret and rely on him with great care. Those who do not break their samaya with their lama, this is the command and oath of this deity. In particular, in terms of samaya, avoid lepers, disabled children, and other sources of great defilement. The lama from whom you receive this deity must have unbroken samaya. Since this great deity is very strict, he is transmitted in a single lineage to each individual who keeps their vows. Even then, practice properly; if you spread him indiscriminately to everyone, he will openly turn against you. In order to receive such a fierce command, offer a mandala. Then, starting with the torma of the ritual text, perform all the offerings, praises, and short exhortations. Scatter drums, musical instruments, and golden libations into the sky. Then, change the drums and musical instruments. Then, visualize yourself as the secret lord who subdues all arrogance. The Tanglha in front dissolves into light and becomes inseparable from the torma. In an instant, the torma transforms into the essence of the great deity Tanglha. His form is that of a white wild yak. His body is like a mountain, and his two horns are as long as a Tang tree, extremely sharp. The breath from his mouth billows like mist. His roar resounds like thunder. Meteoric iron flashes like fire. He transforms into a terrifying and frightening form. You who harm, the lord of wealth, the king.
