The advice of the Protector, the method of being extremely auspicious. From the curved knife, the accumulated lineage speaks of the two, the dharani. The fulfillment and confession of the text require concealed practice. The method of performing the Tsok offering is the same as the fulfillment and restoration text. This is said by the accomplished scholar Orgyenpa out of necessity. Orgyenpa, the wise one of the snowy land of Tibet. Without subduing enemies with vows, there is no overcoming. Without a spiritual friend, the lama, there is no accomplishment. Therefore, for the yogi who practices Mahakala, if the inner vows are not engaged in taming, then no external enemy or demon can harm. It is extremely difficult to have no violation of vows at all. In detail, there are millions of vows spoken of. If one does not know what to protect among them, then in brief, the fourteen root downfalls, the eight major transgressions, and the twenty-eight branch vows, etc., are all explained in the texts and commentaries on the ocean of vows. Nowadays, merely not being in conflict with the lama himself and not losing one's vows is considered pure. The tantras do not say that this is sufficient. In particular, the root of the Protector's vows is that all practices are aimed at the general benefit of the teachings. Do not throw stones at black birds or black dogs. In particular, what the vows of the goddess protect is: do not curse fire and wind, cultivate joy. Do not curse pregnant women, scatter flowers. Give food to young birds and make them happy. Do not break swords, do not beat donkeys, and do not pass rosaries back and forth during practice. If you see leaves carried by the wind, see if you can catch them. Do not show the union form or the body without empowerment. Also, keep the practice substances secret and hidden from people. Even if these vows are slightly broken, it is difficult to rely on the goddess because punishment will occur. Therefore, it is known as a difficult way to rely on her. If one knows the fulfillment and confession, then it is easy to remedy them. Therefore, the tantras say that it is easy to remedy.
