And, the fourth is likewise the result. The first is to wash away the impurities of the body, the third is to wash away the impurities of the mind. Likewise, in order to wash away all realizations, it is said to be the fourth. Thus it is said that the benefits of receiving empowerment are limitless. It is important for the disciples, after receiving empowerment, to speak of the three roots of vows, namely body, speech, and mind. The lama also needs to be excellent and complete with qualities. The intermediate one also needs to have few faults and many qualities. Even the lowest one needs to be one who has not broken the root vows. As it is said in the Root Tantra of Chakrasamvara: One who is extremely focused on meditation should always keep the vows. Because of broken vows, in the mandala, empowerment and siddhi will not be attained. Thus it is said. These should be explained according to the circumstances.
