The main deity of the Orgyen Mandala is called Rigdzin Thöpa Tsal, which is a variant name of Orgyen himself. It is a slight abbreviation of the term "Rigdzin Thötreng," hence the name Thöpa Tsal. To generate that merit, the great scholar and accomplished master, Lungrik Nyima, while reciting the auspicious verses of the Mind Sadhana, looked at me and smiled, saying: "The auspiciousness of the Nirmanakaya, Rigdzin Thöpa Tsal." Just by saying that, I gained an understanding of it. Even though that kind of speech didn't occur, later it also appeared clearly in the tantric texts. Therefore, each of the distinct Great Supreme Nine Deities of the Kagyu lineage has its own root tantra. This Mind Sadhana text is composed based on the root tantra of the Gathering of Vidyadharas. That it is so is clear in the text itself. It is said that there are three hundred and twenty-four tantras for the practice of the three kayas. In the realm of Sukhavati, the teacher is Amitabha, and the questioner is Avalokiteshvara. When Orgyen Rinpoche manifested as an emanation, there were one hundred and eight tantras for the practice of the Dharmakaya, one hundred and eight tantras for the practice of the Sambhogakaya, and one hundred and eight tantras for the practice of the Nirmanakaya. The five great root tantras of the Guru Gongdü (Guru's Mind Accomplishment), which are the collection of those, the tantra of the Wrathful Vidyadhara, and those teachings, were entrusted by the Dakini Sangwa Yeshe to Orgyen himself in the Maratika cave. Those tantras were mostly hidden as treasures in various places in Tibet and China. These five root tantras and a small portion of the Wrathful Tantra were revealed by Sangye Lingpa, so it is evident that there are still many extensive Wrathful Tantras. Thus, based on the one hundred and eight tantras of the Nirmanakaya, this Nirmanakaya practice was composed; based on the one hundred and eight tantras of the Sambhogakaya, this Sambhogakaya practice was composed; based on the one hundred and eight tantras of the Dharmakaya practice, this Guru Dharmakaya practice was composed; and summarizing the general meaning of the sutras and tantras, this great Dharma Practice Lamrim was composed. Having mentioned the source of the transmission in that way, the reason for explaining this method as not relying on the source of the transmission is: other tantric texts were initially spoken by the Bhagavan, and great Bodhisattvas each composed great commentaries on them. Based on those, accomplished masters each composed sadhanas.

For that sadhana, only some simple instructions were given regarding the necessary empowerment, mandala, and ritual. Although the translator had translated those lineages, empowerments, and blessings into Tibetan, it was slightly inconvenient, so the translator himself also made some slight additions. To this, the Tibetan lamas collected the good points from other places, made appropriate additions and creations, and thus created many elaborate and concise versions of rituals and sadhanas, so that even the same dharma had many different versions. For such dharmas, it is necessary to argue for the source, basis, refutation, and establishment, etc., but for this dharma, those are not necessary, because it was made by Orgyen Rinpoche, the leader of the seven hundred panditas of Nalanda Monastery in India, and like the treatises made by Padmasambhava, the teacher of all the panditas, it is like the actual words of the Buddha, so there is no need for explanatory branches such as quotations. Therefore, he was called "Pandita Vajra Without Limbs." What does that mean? Orgyen Rinpoche is the actual teacher of the secret mantra, therefore, this treatise on accomplishing the three kayas is the actual tantra, for example, most of what Vajrapani said is similar to the limbs of the tantra. This is also an Indian text, made by the Indian teacher Padmasambhava. This is also a Tibetan text, because it was made in the Tibetan language in Tibet, and there is no need for translation. This is also the lineage, because the yidam to be practiced himself said it, and there is no lineage more supreme than that. This is also the oral instruction, because there is no teaching deeper than this. The benefit is that one should know that everything stated above and the characteristics of this text are extensively explained separately. Because of fear of lengthy writing, it is not explained in detail here. Thus, even for the practice of the guru's three kayas itself, there are many ways of practicing. One yogi extracted it from the great practice, making the practice of the sadhana method very clear. Even without a teacher, as long as one has received the empowerment and lineage, and has this text and notes, one can practice clearly, correctly, and without confusion. This is immediately for the benefit of the yogi Orgyen Tharchin and Karma Yangdak, and from the depths of my heart, I generate a good intention to benefit all those in future generations who are interested in this dharma, and thus request Orgyen Rinpoche and the Dharma protectors and other Dharma lords to grant permission.

This was written after earnestly requesting, and the text itself clearly allows for extensive engagement by future generations, and it was also composed by Je Khardrung and others. However, when writing this, it was only delayed by many meaningless distractions, and thus it took a long time. It seems that this was a somewhat serious coincidence, and this thought occurred again and again. For any faults in this, such as contradictions, errors, and disclosures that should be concealed, I sincerely confess to the Three Roots and the assembly of Dharma protectors. May this not become an obstacle in the future! Whatever roots of virtue there are from writing this, may they be completely dedicated as the cause for myself and all those connected to me to be born in Sukhavati. May all who see, hear, remember, or touch this be protected without distraction by the compassion of Orgyen Rinpoche, and may all auspiciousness and well-being arise. Sarva Mangalam!
