Second, explaining how to abandon subtle latent predispositions. Second, explaining how to abandon subtle latent predispositions. Second, regarding how to abandon subtle latent predispositions, there are two divisions: the main explanation and the auxiliary antidotes. First, in general, there are four ways to abandon what is to be abandoned. For the moment, the view-abandoned are abandoned by completely knowing the object of focus, and by abandoning the subject that focuses on those objects, which is completely exhausted, and by abandoning the object of focus, the subject is abandoned. The first of these is that among the eighty-eight view-abandoned, the suffering truth view-abandoned of the desire realm, which focuses on the appropriate realm, the coemergent realms of all migrations, the first two views (i.e., the view of self and the extreme view), and the non-coemergent desire, anger, and pride, and the origin truth view-abandoned non-coemergent desire, etc., these three themselves are like that, so there are eight. In the two upper realms, except for anger, the suffering truth view-abandoned are nine and nine, and the origin truth view-abandoned are six and six, totaling thirty. The cessation and path truths of the three realms, the ignorance of the view-abandoned, except for the six that focus on the uncontaminated, the wrong view and doubt, four and three, twelve, totaling fifty, are abandoned by completely knowing the self-characteristics of the four truths through the path of seeing, just as the apprehension of self is reversed by seeing when one wrongly engages with the four truths as objects of focus, because they are contradictory. Second, among those, the nine upper objects of focus, that is, the suffering and origin truths of the desire realm, the view-abandoned non-coemergent realms of all migrations, the nine. These are abandoned by abandoning the subject that focuses on them, that is, the coemergent realms of all migrations of the desire realm. Because the object of focus of the coemergent realms of all migrations is the non-coemergent realms of all migrations. (This is in terms of the desire realm; the above are abandoned by knowing the object of focus.) If it is said that even if it is an object of focus, it is not necessarily abandoned, then the non-coemergent realms of all migrations produced earlier by the subject, the coemergent realms of all migrations, are objects of focus. Therefore, by abandoning the cause of the dharma-tolerance and dharma-knowledge of suffering and origin, that is, the coemergent realms of all migrations of the desire realm, the result produced by them, the non-coemergent realms of all migrations, is also abandoned, because a result without a cause is impossible. Third is the realm

If one wants to generate wrong conduct towards the three realms' cessation and path, view to be abandoned, contaminated objects of observation, then there are four types of cessation and view to be abandoned, and five types of path and view to be abandoned, totaling nine. In the two upper realms, there are seven types excluding anger, seven types totaling twenty-three. These are the actual objects of observation for those wrong conducts. Wrong views and so on that observe the uncontaminated objects of observation of cessation and path, view to be abandoned, are abandoned. Therefore, as the object of observation, views such as holding views as supreme, and wrong conduct that observes contaminated objects of observation, are also abandoned. Because on the cessation and path, with the Dharma-acceptance-knowledge and Dharma-knowledge, and subsequent-acceptance-knowledge and subsequent-knowledge, the actual object of observation is the uncontaminated object of observation. Wrong views and so on are abandoned by knowing the object of observation, because there is no object of observation without an object. The six types of ignorance of the three realms' cessation and path, view to be abandoned, actually observe the wrong conduct of the uncontaminated object of observation, and the wrong conduct of the contaminated object of observation of wrong views. They are abandoned by completely knowing the object of observation and abandoning the object of observation in sequence. Similarly, the objects to be abandoned of the two upper realms are abandoned simultaneously, and the truths are seen simultaneously. Therefore, the aggregates of the form realm's unequal share of realms are also abandoned by knowing the object of observation. The previously mentioned nine pervasive objects of desire realm's equal share of realms are also abandoned by knowing the object of observation. Thus, everything is rooted in abandoning by completely knowing the object of observation. The aggregates of the desire realm's unequal share of realms are also abandoned because the path knows the object of observation, the truth, and abandons the pervasive objects of the equal share of realms. The objects of observation of the three realms' cessation and path, view to be abandoned, contaminated objects of observation, are also abandoned by the power of abandoning the objects of observation of the uncontaminated objects of observation by knowing the cessation and path. Merely knowing their respective objects of observation does not abandon them. Because the objects of observation of the unequal share of realms are the two upper realms. The two upper realms are known by the subsequent-acceptance-knowledge and subsequent-knowledge of suffering and origin. Therefore, the aggregates of the unequal share of realms have already been abandoned in the manner of abandoning the objects of the Dharma-acceptance-knowledge and Dharma-knowledge of the suffering and origin of the desire realm. Similarly, the objects of observation of the cessation and path, view to be abandoned, contaminated objects of observation, abandon the wrong views and so on that observe the uncontaminated objects of observation of the objects of observation.
