Metals (according to their types), as well as the mixture of medicines mentioned earlier (in the 'Lankavatara Sutra'), five fragrances, etc., thus iron, gems, forest medicines, grains, and fragrance substances are placed in vases (according to the distinctions of merit), and then these twenty-five substances are again tied into bundles and placed in a vessel filled with the water of a victorious conch shell. With this, one should empower the five places of birth, namely the crown of the head, the shoulders, the joints of the right and left arms, and similarly the junctions of the hips and thighs. (Here, the text says to empower the five places of birth with conch water, therefore, all seven empowerments need to be done with the nature of conch water, because it also contains all the vase substances.)
