The Introduction to the True Meaning. The Introduction to the True Meaning. Therefore, to introduce the true meaning, it is said: Thus, you have performed the ritual of confessing sins. Now, listen without being distracted by other thoughts, as I introduce the meaning of reality. The Bhagavan said in the Lankavatara Sutra: "The mind disturbed by habitual tendencies, greatly appears as objects. But it is not real, it is only the nature of mind. Seeing external objects as real is a delusion." Also, the Dasabhumika Sutra says: "O sons of the Victorious Ones! These three realms are only mind." As it is said, all these appearances of the external world and the various inner sentient beings, from beginningless time, due to the force of familiarizing with bad habits, appear as non-existent. Especially for you in this intermediate state, all the appearances of happiness and suffering, good and bad, fear and terror, etc., are all due to the confusion of mind, grasping the non-existent as existent, and thus suffering. Therefore, do not grasp these as real, but know them as illusory horses and cattle. Just as the external objects of grasping are not real, so too the internal grasping mind is not real. The Eight Thousand Stanza Prajnaparamita Sutra says: "Mind has no mind, the nature of mind is luminosity." Also, the Ratnakuta Sutra says: "O Light-Protected One, mind is not inside, nor outside, nor in between the two, and is imperceptible." As it is said, looking at the nature of mind, it does not abide anywhere in the outer, inner, or intermediate parts of the body. Its essence has no self-form. In short, know it as the nature of luminosity, like the sky, free from the sight of even the Buddhas. Furthermore, the Bodhicharyavatara says: "The antidote to the darkness of afflictions and cognitive obscurations is emptiness. Desiring to quickly attain omniscience, why do you not meditate on it?" Also, the Samgraha Sutra says: "Whoever well obtains this Prajnaparamita, will soon touch the supreme Bodhi of the Victorious Ones." As it is said, by familiarizing with the wisdom that realizes the non-reality of the grasper and the grasped, all the darkness of the two obscurations is destroyed, and the qualities of the grounds and paths are increased, and the state of non-abiding Nirvana is attained.

Therefore, liberation will be attained. Cut off all the elaborations of clinging to names, and constantly meditate on the reality of all dharmas, which is free from all elaborations. Even if you meditate in this way, if deluded appearances such as fear arise due to the power of past negative karmic imprints, then practice this instruction to recognize them as the four kāyas: That is, by looking at where the deluded appearance first arises from. It does not arise from any place or direction, it is the unborn dharmakāya. Since it is unborn, there is no cessation, it is the unceasing sambhogakāya. In between arising and ceasing, there is no abiding, it is the non-abiding nirmāṇakāya. These three are inseparable, that is the svābhāvikakāya attained by the Buddhas. The same as the four kāyas of the fruition, which are inherently present in you, recognize this and gain stability. Once recognized, the deluded appearances will simultaneously dissolve on their own. Now, in order for your loving relatives who remain behind to dedicate food, drink, clothing, wealth, and all necessities to you, you should visualize yourself as a deity and bless these desirable objects as a gaṇacakra and enjoy them. For this purpose, please visualize as follows: Visualize yourself as the noble Avalokiteśvara, from whose heart rays of light radiate, striking you and merging with you indivisibly, then dissolving into the state of inconceivable emptiness. Purify with the mantra "Oṃ Mahāśūnyatājñāna" (藏文:ཨོཾ་མ་ཧཱ་ཤུ་ནྱ་ཏ་ཛྙཱ་ན།,梵文天城体:ॐ महाशून्यताज्ञान,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ mahāśūnyatājñāna,汉语字面意思:嗡,伟大的空性智慧). From within emptiness, on a lotus, sun, and moon cushion atop a jeweled throne, you instantly transform into the Bhagavan glorious Vajrasattva, with a body color of clear white, one face, and two arms. The right hand holds a wisdom-emptiness vajra at the heart, and the left hand rests a appearance-emptiness bell on the hip. The right leg is extended, and the left leg is bent, seated in a playful posture. The hair is tied up in a topknot, with the remaining hair falling downwards. Adorned with various jeweled ornaments and silk garments, possessing the complete attire of the sambhogakāya. Within the expanse of appearance-emptiness rainbows, from the supreme blazing glory of the marks and signs, the forty-two peaceful deities appear at the heart, the fifty-eight wrathful deities appear at the crown of the head, and the pure vidyādhara assembly appears at the throat.
