May all beings, including myself, uphold the intentions of the Buddhas just as the Dharma King Tsongkhapa did. At the time of death, may all beings, including myself, directly see the faces of Amitabha (འོད་དཔག་ཏུ་མེད་པ་，Amitābha，अमिताभ，amitaabha，无量光) and Akshobhya (མི་འཁྲུགས་པ་，Akshobhya，अक्षोभ्य，akshobhya，不动), the Medicine Buddha, and the eight great close sons, and may they guide us on the path. After death, may we be reborn in pure lands such as Tushita and Sukhavati, where only beings of the Great Vehicle lineage with sharp faculties are born miraculously from lotuses. Immediately upon birth, may we attain samadhi, dharani, eloquence, clairvoyance, and the perfection of miraculous powers. Having been born in a pure land and gained freedom, may we go to impure lands and, through various skillful means such as teaching the Dharma to those beings according to their needs, may we be able to establish them on the pure and excellent path of the Buddhas. When practicing the conduct of a Bodhisattva, may we never be daunted by any difficult practices, be without laziness, and reach the far shore of the great ocean of Bodhisattva conduct. Furthermore, in all lifetimes, may we always be joyfully embraced by the virtuous friend of the supreme vehicle, and may we never be separated from them. Having been embraced, may we understand the meaning of all the sacred Dharma of Sutra and Tantra taught by them, and may we put it into practice. In particular, may we never be separated from practicing the profound path of the two stages of Vajrayana. Thus, having practiced all the profound meanings of Sutra and Tantra as intended by the Buddhas, may we quickly attain the precious state of Buddhahood for the benefit of all beings who have been our mothers. In the Buddha-field where I attain enlightenment, may even the names of the three lower realms not be heard, and may it surpass other pure lands in terms of purity and the abundance of vessel and essence, just like the field of the All-Seeing One, where the venerable Manjushri attains Buddhahood. Because it is said in the scriptures that the aspirations of the Buddha's children, like the Ganges River, are all contained within the aspiration to uphold the sacred Dharma, therefore, all the accumulated merit

为了使…增长而回向。 殊胜之佛子及诸佛之加持， 缘起无欺之谛实， 以及我之清净增上意乐之威力， 愿此清净祈愿之处得以成就！ 如是，此名为“与大乘道次第相符之发愿文——菩提道之阶梯”者，乃是具信与智慧之达依拉隆·洛桑顿珠，为了自他之利益而劝请，释迦之比丘，名言实义皆不精通者，于卓尼寺所造。印刷之书写者即是劝请者本人。吉祥！ 与大乘道次第相符之发愿文——菩提道之阶梯。

With the blessings of the marvelous Sugatas and their children, With the truth of the infallible interdependence, And with the power of my pure, superior intention, May this place of pure aspiration be accomplished! Thus, this aspiration prayer called "The Ladder to Enlightenment, Expressed in Accordance with the Stages of the Supreme Vehicle's Path," was composed at Jone Monastery by the Shakya monk Shedrup Minchen, who is not proficient in both name and meaning, at the urging of the faithful and intelligent Ta'i Lalung Lobsang Dondrup for the benefit of himself and others. The scribe of the printing is the one who urged it. May there be auspiciousness!
