A Concise Explanation of the Praise to Noble Mañjughoṣa called "Glorious Wisdom, Qualities, and Excellence". A Concise Explanation of the Praise to Noble Mañjughoṣa called "Glorious Wisdom, Qualities, and Excellence". A Concise Explanation of the Praise to Noble Mañjughoṣa called "Glorious Wisdom, Qualities, and Excellence" is present. Namo Guru Mañjughoṣāya (藏文:ན་མོ་གུ་རུ་མཉྫུ་གྷོ་ཥཱ་ཡ།,梵文天城体:नमो गुरु मञ्जुघोषाया,梵文罗马拟音:Namo Guru Mañjughoṣāya,汉语字面意思:Homage to the Guru Mañjughoṣa). Born from the golden womb of the vast two accumulations, Complete with the mandala of the four faces of abandonment and realization. The original creator of all dharmas, the lord of speech, Grant the glory of speech with the steadfast wheel. Here, the explanation of the meaning of the praise called "Glorious Wisdom, Qualities, and Excellence" has four parts: Who is the author? The title of the treatise? The homage? The actual explanation of the meaning of the text. First, some scholars believe that this was composed by the teacher Vajra Weapon. Others believe that in the past, in the noble land of India, the paṇḍitas each consulted to compose a praise to Mañjuśrī himself. When they began to do so, due to the blessing of Mañjughoṣa, all the praises composed by the paṇḍitas became one, which is this one. Whichever of these two is the case, the author is a trustworthy source. Second, regarding the title of the treatise. In the noble land of India, among the four languages, namely Sanskrit, natural language, carnivorous language, and corrupted language, this treatise is called Śrī Jñāna Guṇa Phala Nāma Stuti Ra (藏文:ཤྲཱི་ཛྙཱ་ན་གུ་ཎ་ཕ་ལ་ནཱ་མ་སྟུ་ཏི་ར་) in Sanskrit or Saṃskṛta. Translated into Tibetan, Śrī is glorious, Jñāna is wisdom, Guṇa is quality, Phala is excellent, Nāma is called, and Stuti Ra is praise. The reason for mentioning Sanskrit is to leave an impression in Sanskrit, and Tibetan is to avoid confusion with other texts. Third, the homage is: Homage to the Bhagavan Mañjughoṣa (藏文:བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་འཇམ་པའི་དབྱངས་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ལོ།). The literal meaning is: Because he has destroyed all the enemies of afflictions and cognitive obscurations, he is the "destroyer"; because he possesses the six perfections such as power, form, splendor, fame, wisdom, and diligence, he is the "possessor"; in general, "Bhaga" in "Bhagavan" is destruction and perfection.

etc. "Ba ti" means having, although there is actually no corresponding word for the past tense, it is obtained here through meaning, and it was cleverly added by the translator for ease of expression in Tibetan. The meaning of the past tense is to transcend samsara or the four maras. Just like the meaning of "liberation from suffering," it can also be explained as liberation from afflictions. Because it is free from the rough touch of faults such as afflictions, it is peaceful. Having sixty kinds of Brahma sounds, it is Brahma sound. If it is explained as having the sixth sound here, then such a Brahma sound is related to the characteristic of tranquility. "La" is for the purpose, and "Phyag 'tshal" means to respectfully prostrate, that is, to express respect through any of the three doors of body, speech, and mind. As it is said: "I prostrate respectfully with body, speech, and mind." "Lo" is a concluding word, meaning that the essence of the matter is temporarily completed. The necessity of making such praise is that when the translator translated this into Tibetan, it was done so that people would know that this belongs to the Abhidharma Pitaka, and also because this treatise itself is a praise to Manjushri. The fourth part is about the actual content of the text, which is divided into the main text, incidental questions and analyses, and benefits. The first part is further divided into three parts: praise of mind, speech, and body. The first part is further divided into two parts: praise from the perspective of wisdom and compassion. The first part is: Thus, the father of the Buddhas, Manjushri, with the intelligence of his wisdom, completely and thoroughly destroys the darkness of both the afflictive obscurations, which are the root and near-root of desires, etc., which should be abandoned, and the obscurations of knowledge, which are the habits of dualistic appearances as illusions. What is the situation? Just like the sun, which is free from all obscuring faults such as dust and clouds, your wisdom is extremely pure and completely clear of those obscuring illusory stains for seeing all dharmas. So, how does this wisdom see objects? From form to omniscience, all those dharmas, whether defiled or purified, all the subtle points of the essence and differences of all those dharmas are as they are.
