A Compilation of the Essence of the Profound Meaning of the Madhyamaka System. A Compilation of the Essence of the Profound Meaning of the Madhyamaka System. This is the Treatise called "A Compilation of the Essence of the Profound Meaning of the Madhyamaka System." Homage to Manjushri). Having manifestly received the blessings of Manjushri, especially among all the Buddha's teachings, I pay homage to the venerable Tsongkhapa, who illuminates the profound and interdependent Middle Way. From the excellent explanations of your precious vase, with the tip of a Kusha grass connected to faith and wisdom, I am busy with the dance of taking a drop of the essence of profound nectar and giving it to others. Here, mainly based on the tenets of the Madhyamaka-Prasangika school, I will engage in explaining some scattered profound meanings collected together. There are three parts to this: the meaning of dependent arising being free from the eight extremes, the way to avoid permanence and annihilation in karma, and the establishment of the three times. The first has two parts: stating the basis of explanation, and explaining its meaning. The first is: the noble Nagarjuna, in the homage of the Root Wisdom of the Middle Way, from "That which is dependently arisen," to "I prostrate to that supreme one." The second is to explain its meaning, which has two parts: explaining the meaning of the words, and explaining the meaning derived from them. First, to explain briefly: I prostrate! To whom? To the complete and perfect Buddha who taught dependent arising. How did he teach it? Because all phenomena are without inherent existence, therefore, the samadhi without outflows that directly realizes the suchness of dependent arising, the conditioned dependent arisings are impermanent and cease in an instant. Similarly, it also teaches that there is no birth that exists as its own entity, as well as the cessation of the previous, the permanence of existing at all times, the coming from a distant place, the going from a near place, the difference of different meanings, and the oneness of not different meanings. The seer who directly sees the nature of dependent arising, there, all the elaborations of conventionalities such as speaker and spoken, accomplisher and accomplished, one and many, signs and symbols, etc., are pacified, there is no movement of conceptual thoughts, and even the terms of knowledge and knowable disappear in a reversed way, and all the calamities such as birth and aging are completely

Because it is free from arising, it is peaceful. The Buddha, the Bhagavan, directly sees the reality of dependent arising as it is, and shows it to others without inversion, therefore, he is called the supreme among speakers. Although the word "who" is a general term, here it is associated with the complete Buddha, so it should be understood as the Able One. This text shows how the nature of reality is seen through the equipoise of stainless wisdom, and in that vision, the eight, such as cessation, of dependent arising are shown to be non-existent. However, in general, the way in which the eight, such as cessation, exist in name will be explained. Furthermore, for the vision of the trainee's stainless wisdom equipoise, which directly realizes the nature of reality, since there is no conventional appearance of forms, sounds, etc., and their arising and ceasing, etc., even though he does not see them in name, he does not see that they do not exist. In the Heart Sutra, it is said, "No form, no sound," etc., which also means that in the vision of that equipoise, they are non-existent. Similarly, this also refers to the fact that forms, etc., are non-existent in their own nature, and that forms, etc., cannot be analyzed by the reasoning that analyzes ultimate truth. Second, regarding the incidental meaning, there are two: how the basis of dependent arising possesses qualities; and the reason why they do not become the nature of the object of stainless wisdom equipoise. First, what is directly shown here is that dependent arising is mainly considered from the perspective of conditioned phenomena, that is, the basis, conditioned phenomena, possesses the eight qualities such as cessation, which exist in name, but it shows that they are non-existent in nature. The eight, such as cessation, exist in name, because conditioned phenomena arise and then perish, so there is arising and ceasing; the continuum of karma and afflictions is cut off; the nature of reality is constant; there is going and coming; conditioned is impermanent, which is synonymous; and there are also different meanings such as pillar and vase. There is another way of establishing synonymy and difference, that is, the action is one, that is, dharma, which is considered synonymous; the action is two, that is, dharma and the world, which is considered different. There are two meanings of dependent arising, one of which is, the noble Nagarjuna said in the Root Wisdom Treatise: The agent depends on the action, and the action also depends on the agent, arising in dependence.
