Lama Dorje Chang, the embodiment of all refuges, Amitabha, the guide of the blissful realm, At the feet of Mipham Chökyi Lodrö, the crown jewel of a hundred deities, I respectfully rely, grant the supreme and common siddhis. Here, from the words of the noble forefathers, some common instructions on transference that are easy to practice are compiled in three parts. The first is the transference based on Guru Yoga. If you have a Guru Yoga that you rely on, combine it with that, or practice it as follows. This also has two parts: first, practicing oneself, and second, transferring to Khechara at the time of death. The first is: refuge, bodhicitta, etc., are done as usual. Then, on your crown, on a precious throne supported by lions, on a lotus and moon cushion, the essence is your own kind root lama, but in appearance, it is the all-pervading Vajradhara, with a blue body, one face, and two hands holding a vajra and bell crossed at the heart. He is adorned with precious jewels and various silk garments, adorned with marks and signs, and sits in the vajra posture in the middle of a mass of light. (Recite seven times, etc.) And, with my own and others' body, speech, and mind, etc., offer the mandala in whatever way is appropriate, whether elaborate or concise, and all the outer, inner, and secret offerings that exist. I confess all the accumulations of sins and faults of the three doors. I confess. I rejoice in all the virtues of all beings, both ordinary and noble. I urge all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the ten directions to turn the wheel of Dharma. I urge all of them not to pass into nirvana, but to remain forever.
