Ge Gesangpo and Jigme and many others hold this view, while some consider it to be a condensed path of learning. Eighth, yoga is divided into four types: the yoga of complete manifestation, the yoga of the peak, the gradual yoga, and the instantaneous yoga. The text states, "The cause is the nature of the four yogas." Alternatively, there are the practice of armor, the practice of entering, the practice of accumulation, and the practice of determination, which are the four practices. Ninth, according to the common vehicle, the path is divided into four: the path of accumulation, the path of preparation, the path of seeing, and the path of meditation. Except for the final path, which is the result. The paths of accumulation and preparation are merely practiced through faith and understanding. Because they are not directly seen, they are stages of practice based on faith. However, the path of seeing and the supramundane path of meditation are directly seen, and thus are realized. The first two are defiled mundane wisdom, so they are not the actual truth of the path. Then, in the Compendium, what is the truth of the path? It is the collection of the path of accumulation, the path of preparation, and the path of purification, which is called the truth of the path. If someone asks, the Compendium of Abhidharma also says that the five paths are the truth of the path, is this wrong? There is no mistake, it refers to the retinue of the truth of the path, or that which is in accordance with the truth of the path. In the commentary on the Compendium, it says, "The so-called five paths refer to the occasion of five different classifications. This classification should also be understood as the occasion of the truth of the path and its retinue." The Compendium also says, "Which mundane dharmas refute the existence of rebirth and do not incline towards it, and generate the supramundane path? Why are these dharmas included in the truth of the origin? Although these dharmas do not inherently incline towards the existence of rebirth, they are related to the excellent practice and accordance with the existence of rebirth through body, speech, and mind, so these dharmas are also included in the truth of the origin." Are the characteristics of the paths of accumulation and preparation uncontaminated? If it is the nature of the truth of the path, that is unreasonable, because in the Compendium, the wisdom arising from hearing and thinking

Those who diligently apply themselves to mindfulness are doing so with mundane, virtuous, and defiled knowledge. Based on that, they diligently apply themselves to those mindfulnesses that arise from meditating on the yoga that corresponds to the part of discernment, which is also mundane, virtuous, and defiled knowledge. Based on that, they diligently apply themselves to those mindfulnesses that possess the part of discernment corresponding to the yoga of the path of seeing, which is also mundane, virtuous, and defiled knowledge. Based on that, through the uninterrupted path of the path of seeing, they generate the supreme of worldly dharma, which is also mundane, virtuous, and defiled knowledge. Thus, these are explained as defiled. Tenth, if divided into three trainings: the training of higher discipline, the training of higher mind, and the training of higher wisdom. In the Ornament [for Clear Realization], also taking the three trainings as primary, the Victorious Ones truly explained the six perfections; the first three are one type, the last two are another type, and one (wisdom) can be understood as including all three. Eleventh, there are three objects of meritorious action: the object of meritorious action arising from generosity, the object of meritorious action arising from ethics, and the object of meritorious action arising from meditation. The first is the perfection of generosity. The second is the perfection of ethics. The third is the perfections of patience, diligence, meditation, and wisdom. Twelfth, the division into the seven paths or the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment is well-known. The Buddha said that in such a way, all the scriptures that teach can be explained. The way to accumulate merit.
