Like the eighth ground, the ground of seeing, the thin ground, the ground of being free from desire, the ground of having done what needs to be done, and the ground of solitary realizer, there are eight grounds. In the Great Vehicle, for each of the ten grounds, such as the Joyful Ground, each of the ten perfections is primary, while others are practiced in a secondary way, thus they are said to be purified. That is the main thing of the ground, the secondary is: "By abiding in the ground of faith." As it says, there is the ground of faith on the path of accumulation, and obtaining the ground is aspiration. As it says, there is also the ground of aspiration and practice from the path of application downwards. Also, in the Bodhisattva Ground, it is said that there are seven grounds: the ground of lineage, the ground of practice with aspiration, the ground of pure superior intention, the ground of certainty, the ground of practice, the ground of certain practice, and the ground of ultimate going. Thus it is. Fourth, dividing into the four ways of gathering disciples. From the Ornament [for Clear Realization]: "Giving is the same, showing that, causing to take and enter, and oneself following after, pleasing speech, beneficial conduct, and being of the same meaning, are desired." Thus, giving that is the same as the perfection of giving, pleasing speech that shows the six perfections to others, beneficial conduct that causes others to enter into the six perfections, and being of the same meaning in which one also enters into the six perfections, these are the four ways of gathering disciples. Fifth, dividing into four practices. From the Ornament [for Clear Realization]: "Sentient beings, the Great Vehicle, and those who aspire to the Lesser Vehicle, and causing both to rejoice, for the sake of taming, the four practices of the steadfast ones, are explained following the sutras." Thus, for the sake of those who aspire to the Great Vehicle, the practice of the perfections, which is the nature of the ten perfections; for the sake of those who aspire to the Lesser Vehicle, the practice that accords with the aspects of enlightenment, which is the nature of the thirty-seven aspects of enlightenment; for the sake of causing both to rejoice, the practice of superknowledges, which is the nature of the six superknowledges; for the sake of maturing the disciples of all three vehicles, the practice of completely maturing sentient beings, which shows immeasurable means of maturing disciples, these are the four. As explained in the Sutra of the Jewel Crown. Also, from the Bodhisattva Ground: "These four practices of a bodhisattva should be known as encompassing all the practices of a bodhisattva." Sixth, dividing into eighty inexhaustibles, from the Pure

Generating mind, intention, effort, and superior intention, as well as the six perfections, four immeasurables, clairvoyance and the four means of attraction, the four individual correct knowledges, relying on the Dharma and not relying on persons, relying on the meaning and not relying on words, relying on the definitive meaning and not relying on the provisional meaning, relying on wisdom and not relying on consciousness—these four, the two accumulations and the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, the two—shamatha and vipashyana, the two—dharani and fearlessness, all compounded things are impermanent, all contaminated things are suffering, all phenomena are without self, nirvana is peace—these are the four seals of Dharma, the one vehicle and skillful means, these eighty are taught in the Sutra of Inexhaustible Intelligence, and in the Ornament of the Sage's Intentions, it is also said that these encompass all the paths of the Great Vehicle. Seventh, the generation of mind is divided into twenty-two types. As the Ornament for Clear Realization says: Earth, gold, moon, fire, treasure and jewel source, ocean, vajra, mountain, medicine, spiritual friend, wish-fulfilling jewel, sun, naga, king, treasury and great road, vehicle, adorned water and melodious sound, river and clouds, are the twenty-two aspects. As the noble Vimuktisena and Master Simhabhadra say, the meaning symbolized by these metaphors are: friendship, intention, superior intention, effort, and each of the ten perfections corresponding one by one, the six clairvoyances, the two accumulations, the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, great compassion and vipashyana, dharani and fearlessness, joy in the Dharma, possessing the one vehicle path and possessing the Dharmakaya, they believe that these companions are needed. In the commentary on the Sutra Ornament, the Pure Treatise, and the Sage's Intentions, each of the eighty inexhaustible intelligences is corresponded one by one with the six perfections, or other categories are corresponded in order.
