Introducing the activity of Thatness (Tathāgatagarbha) as benefit for others: Introducing the activity of Thatness (Tathāgatagarbha) as benefit for others: Third, introducing the activity of Thatness (Tathāgatagarbha) as benefit for others: In the Ornament of Clear Realization, it says, "Thus, as long as samsara exists, this activity will never cease." The meaning of this is: The four wisdoms, Mahāmudrā, Mahā-Madhyamaka, Mahāyāna, profound Prajñāpāramitā, Tathāgatagarbha, when the six branches are practiced through the union of binding that very nature, what becomes manifest is: various activities for the benefit of others are naturally accomplished. As it says in the commentary on the Uttaratantra, "The activities of a Bodhisattva are thirty-two in number." This is the meaning. Its meaning is: the activity of awakening from the sleep of delusion; similarly, uniting inferior aspiration with vast aspiration; uniting those who do not desire Dharma with Dharma; establishing impure livelihood in purity; establishing bad views in good views; establishing improper attention in proper attention; establishing those who abide in wrong Dharma in right Dharma; uniting those who are incompatible with the six perfections with the six perfections; uniting those who are unskilled in means with means; uniting those who have afflictions with the absence of afflictions; uniting those who have objects of focus with the absence of objects of focus; uniting what is unsuitable to do with what is suitable to do; uniting those who have fallen into the four rivers with liberation from them; uniting those who are unhappy with happiness; uniting those who have many attachments with the absence of attachment; uniting those who do not have the wealth of the noble ones with the wealth of the noble ones; uniting the sick with the absence of sickness; uniting those who do not have the appearance of awareness with appearance; uniting those who do not understand the three realms with understanding; uniting those who have entered the left path with the right path; uniting those who are attached to body and life with non-attachment; uniting those who sever the lineage of the Three Jewels with non-severance; uniting those who have declined from the Dharma with upholding the Dharma; uniting those who have declined from the six recollections with the six recollections; uniting those who are obscured by afflictions with the absence of obscuration; uniting those who possess non-virtuous Dharma with virtuous Dharma. Furthermore, explaining the activities of body, speech, and mind through nine kinds of examples is as follows: Showing the appearance of the body without conceptualization, like sapphire.

Like the image of Indra appearing on the earth, and teaching the Dharma without conceptualization like the drum of the gods, and raining down the rain of Dharma with the mind without conceptualization like the clouds, and showing various manifestations without conceptualization like Brahma, and radiating the light of wisdom without conceptualization like the sun, and fulfilling the secret wishes of the mind without conceptualization like the wish-fulfilling jewel, and making others hear the secret of speech without conceptualization like a beautiful musical instrument, and pervading with the secret of the body without conceptualization, and the formless and constant space in the mundane, and the earth which is the basis of all perfections, these nine similes are: The Uttaratantra says: Like Indra, drum, and cloud, like Brahma, sun, precious wish-fulfilling king, musical instrument, space, and earth in existence, effortlessly accomplishing the benefit of others, the yogi. The teacher is like the image of the precious Indra, skillfully teaching like the drum of the gods. The all-pervading wisdom and great compassion are like clouds, boundless beings pervading up to the peak of existence. Like Brahma, without moving from the uncontaminated state, various manifestations are shown in many ways. Like the sun, the light of wisdom radiates greatly. The mind is like a pure, precious, wish-fulfilling jewel. The speech of the Buddhas is like an echo, without letters. The body is like space, pervading yet formless and constant. Like the earth, all the white Dharma medicines of beings, the basis of all forms is the Buddha. Virtue is like lapis lazuli, the cause of seeing the Buddha in the mind. For them, irreversible, the power of faith is seen. When virtue arises and ceases, the form of the Buddha also arises and ceases. Like Indra, the capable one, in terms of Dharmakaya, there is no birth or death. Similarly, effortlessly, from the unborn and unceasing Dharmakaya, as long as samsara exists, the work of showing and so on continues. Thus, accomplishing the benefit of others in the three realms, the Nirmanakaya wrathful deities benefit the Asuras and humans in the desire realm, the Sambhogakaya benefits the beings of the form realm, and the Dharmakaya benefits the formless beings in the sky.
