Located in the upper part of Dokham, one of the six prosperous regions, namely the sacred Drilung, a region rich in Dharma. The land near Jowo Gyokchen, called Gato Namdzong Pumo, the father was the son blessed by Lhachen Tsangpa Karpo, named Gaje Tangla Bar, and the mother was Drosa Lhamen Dron, they had three sons, the eldest named Gachen Tsenye Gyal, the middle one named Dampa Sangye, and the youngest named Dampa Kungga. There, he met his consort Chokza Dronne and had two sons, the eldest named Kyela Sangye Gonpo, and the younger one known as Kyela Geshe. The son of Geshe was born in the Fire Pig year, in the fourth Rabjung cycle, 1227. Note: By the power of awakening from previous lives, he became interested in Dharma, and he understood letters and other studies without any obstacles. Later, at one point, he went to Kumbum in Gomang to participate in the construction of the great temple of Gonde Monastery by the sixty thousand places. With pure intention and unwavering faith, he devoted himself to the construction of the temple without regard for his life, thereby purifying his sins and obtaining extraordinary signs. Later, all the people of Ripa, including Zilpa Dasang, were responsible for the north side of the wall.
