Having met this Rinpoche and all sentient beings, I thought it would be good to show them this kind of mind. When I see people with great hatred, suffering from hatred, I think, hatred itself is the manifestation of Mahamudra, but alas, they do not understand this. When I see other sentient beings tormented by the five poisons and the three poisons, I think, afflictions or discriminations are themselves emptiness, but alas, they do not understand this, and are deluded by appearances. Now, apart from cultivating compassion in the mind, generating devotion to the Guru, visualizing the body as the deity, and practicing the aspects of skillful means, it seems there is no need to meditate on emptiness. The inseparability of skillful means and wisdom is also right here. What is called the object of the Prajnaparamita being non-dual is also this, there is nothing else. To consider appearances as illusion is a fault of Mahamudra, because the mind itself appears that way; if one considers appearances not as they are but as illusion, that is artificial, so it is a fault. Appearances appear like illusion, and knowing that illusion itself has no inherent existence, therefore the Madhyamaka of non-dual illusion is not elsewhere either. Just by visualizing the body as the deity, the body does not appear as the deity, but the mind appears as the deity. The deity descending does not appear either, nor does the mind becoming the deity appear. The mind itself appears as the deity, and that appearance is emptiness. Not desiring emptiness after the deity has subsided, what is called the union of the generation stage and completion stage is also right here. However the mind appears, appearance is emptiness, so what the Secret Mantra calls union is also this. Elaborations are empty by elaborations, pure and clear, this is the Dharmakaya. Whatever thoughts and discriminations appear and abide, that is the Nirmanakaya. These two are inseparable, possessing qualities such as marks and signs, and being complete from that, this is the Sambhogakaya. Contaminated is empty by contaminated. Afflictions or discriminations, etc., appearing as the root of suffering, and its own emptiness, this is the Mahasukhakaya. Because no obscuration or obscurer is established, it is the Svabhavikakaya. The five kayas are also all complete in this momentary thought of mind, what is called spontaneously accomplished from Mahamudra, that is, the mind's five kayas are spontaneously accomplished in this way. This fabricated Dharma, whether it is pacified or not pacified, is fine, so

Since the limit of saying it is such and such a thing is not apparent, what is called 'beyond mind' also appears to be just that. Since all the phenomena of samsara and nirvana are none other than this awareness, all the qualities are completely perfected in this mind without exception, so is it beyond mind? The Great Perfection practitioners say, 'It is primordially perfect from the beginning,' and that is also just this. Even so, the characteristics of each phenomenon are not mixed up; in nirvana, the wisdom of knowing all aspects, and the various appearances that appear to each sentient being, these characteristics are not mixed up, but are clearly and distinctly present separately. All meditators meditate by focusing the mind on one object and say that the nature of reality is emptiness, saying that many distinctions are not needed. Although they say they are meditating on emptiness, they are actually meditating on equanimity, equality, and the nature of reality. This is because they have not realized emptiness and do not know how to meditate. They think that emptiness is dependent arising, the unceasing nature of their own mind. Now, this abiding awareness is inseparable from the awareness of meditation, and by cultivating the innate awareness of the meditator without distraction, knowing that it is the Great Seal, the mind is the Great Seal, and one experiences the Great Seal. If the meaning of realization does not appear, realizing outwardly will result in outward Buddhahood, and realizing inwardly will result in inward Buddhahood, which is of no benefit. If afflictions, conceptual thoughts, and grasping and clinging appear as before, as in the time before realization, then even if one has realized, it is of no benefit. The mind of all sentient beings has existed as the Dharmakaya from beginningless time, but because it does not appear as the Dharmakaya, it appears as samsara. Therefore, it is very important to grasp the innate mind. 'Innate' refers to this awareness that is free from exaggeration and denigration. For things that are said to 'exist,' since it is not established that it is such and such a thing, it does not appear as exaggeration. For things that are said to 'not exist,' since it is constantly appearing, it does not appear as denigration. By closely cultivating this innate awareness that is free from exaggeration and denigration, for all the phenomena of appearances and sounds, there is no saying that this should be abandoned and this should be taken, but everything appears as meditation. As it says in the Dohas: When the innate mind is cultivated, At that time, the guru's instructions enter the heart.
