At the moment of the dissolution of the rebirth-consciousness of those in the Pure Abodes, and for the non-percipient beings, for them there the mind-faculty did not arise, and the wisdom-faculty does not arise. (Rooted in the Wisdom-Faculty) (5) Section on the Present and the Future (a) Affirmative Individual 366. (a) For whom the eye-faculty arises, for him will the ear-faculty arise? For those who are last-existents, reborn in the five-constituent existence, and for those who, having been reborn in the formless realm, will attain Nibbana, for them, while being reborn, the eye-faculty arises, but for them the ear-faculty will not arise. For the others, who are reborn with the eye-faculty, for them the eye-faculty arises, and the ear-faculty will arise. (b) Or for whom will the ear-faculty arise, for him does the eye-faculty arise? For all who are passing away, and for those reborn without the eye-faculty, for them the ear-faculty will arise, but for them the eye-faculty does not arise. For those reborn with the eye-faculty, for them the ear-faculty will arise, and the eye-faculty arises. (a) For whom the eye-faculty arises, for him will the nose-faculty arise? For those who are last-existents, reborn in the five-constituent existence, and for those who, having been reborn in the form realm or the formless realm, will attain Nibbana, for them, while being reborn, the eye-faculty arises, but for them the nose-faculty will not arise. For the others, who are reborn with the eye-faculty, for them the eye-faculty arises, and the nose-faculty will arise. (b) Or for whom will the nose-faculty arise, for him does the eye-faculty arise? For all who are passing away, and for those reborn without the eye-faculty, for them the nose-faculty will arise, but for them the eye-faculty does not arise. For those with eyes who are reappearing, for them the nose faculty will arise and the eye faculty arises. (A) For whom the eye faculty arises, for him/her will the female faculty arise? For those in their last existence who are reappearing in the five-constituent realm, and those who, having reappeared in the form realm or formless realm, will attain final Nibbāna, and those males who, having shown a few existences in this very state, will attain final Nibbāna, for them who are reappearing, for them the eye faculty arises, but for them the female faculty will not arise. For others with eyes who are reappearing, for them the eye faculty also arises and the female faculty also will arise. (B) Or for whom the female faculty will arise, for him/her does the eye faculty arise? For all who are passing away, and for those without eyes who are reappearing, for them the female faculty will arise, but for them the eye faculty does not arise. For those with eyes who are reappearing, for them the female faculty also will arise and the eye faculty also arises. For whom the eye faculty arises, for him will the male faculty arise? (Similar) (A) For whom the eye faculty arises, for him/her will the life faculty arise? For those in their last existence who are reappearing in the five-constituent realm, for them the eye faculty arises, but for them the life faculty will not arise. For others with eyes who are reappearing, for them the eye faculty also arises and the life faculty also will arise. (B) Or for whom the life faculty will arise, for him/her does the eye faculty arise? For all who are passing away, and for those without eyes who are reappearing, for them the life faculty will arise, but for them the eye faculty does not arise. For those with eyes who are reappearing, for them the life faculty also will arise and the eye faculty also arises. (A) For whom the eye faculty arises, for him/her will the joy faculty arise? For those in their last existence who are reappearing in the five-constituent realm, And for those with eyes who, having arisen with equanimity, will attain final Nibbāna, for them, as they are arising, the eye faculty arises, but for them, the joy faculty will not arise. For others with eyes, as they are arising, for them, the eye faculty arises and the joy faculty will arise. (Kha) Or for whom the joy faculty will arise, for them does the eye faculty arise? For all who are passing away, and for those without eyes who are arising, for them, the joy faculty will arise, but for them, the eye faculty does not arise. For those with eyes who are arising, for them, the joy faculty will arise and the eye faculty arises. (Ka) For whom the eye faculty arises, for them will the equanimity faculty arise? For those in their last existence, arising in the five-constituent realm, and for those with eyes who, having arisen with joy, will attain final Nibbāna, for them, as they are arising, the eye faculty arises, but for them, the equanimity faculty will not arise. For others with eyes, as they are arising, for them, the eye faculty arises and the equanimity faculty will arise. (Kha) Or for whom the equanimity faculty will arise, for them does the eye faculty arise? For all who are passing away, and for those without eyes who are arising, for them, the equanimity faculty will arise, but for them, the eye faculty does not arise. For those with eyes who are arising, for them, the equanimity faculty will arise and the eye faculty arises. For whom the eye faculty arises, for them will the faith faculty… the wisdom faculty… the mind faculty arise? For those in their last existence, arising in the five-constituent realm, for them, the eye faculty arises, but for them, the mind faculty will not arise. For others with eyes, as they are arising, for them, the eye faculty arises and the mind faculty will arise. Or for whom the mind faculty will arise, for them does the eye facult— What arises? For all who are passing away, for those without eye-faculty, for those reappearing, for them the mind-faculty will arise, but for them the eye-faculty does not arise. For those with eye-faculty reappearing, for them the mind-faculty will arise and the eye-faculty arises. (Rooted in the eye-faculty) 367. (A) For whom the nose-faculty arises, for them will the female-faculty arise? For those of their last existence, reappearing in the sense-sphere, and those who, having reappeared in the form-sphere or formless-sphere, will attain final Nibbāna, and those males who, having shown a few existences in this same state, will attain final Nibbāna, for them reappearing, for them the nose-faculty arises, but for them the female-faculty will not arise. For others, for those with nose-faculty reappearing, for them the nose-faculty arises and the female-faculty will arise. (B) Or for whom the female-faculty will arise, for them does the nose-faculty arise? For all who are passing away, for those without nose-faculty, for those reappearing, for them the female-faculty will arise, but for them the nose-faculty does not arise. For those with nose-faculty reappearing, for them the female-faculty will arise and the nose-faculty arises. (A) For whom the nose-faculty arises, for them will the male-faculty arise? For those of their last existence, reappearing in the sense-sphere, and those who, having reappeared in the form-sphere or formless-sphere, will attain final Nibbāna, and those females who, having shown a few existences in this same state, will attain final Nibbāna, for them reappearing, for them the nose-faculty arises, but for them the male-faculty will not arise. For others, for those with nose-faculty reappearing, for them the nose-faculty arises and the male-faculty will arise. (B) Or for whom the male-faculty will arise, for them does the nose-faculty arise? For all who are passing away, for those without nose-faculty, for those reappearing, for them the male-faculty will arise, but for them the nose-faculty does not arise. ... For those with a nose, who are reborn, their male faculty will arise, and their nose faculty arises. (A) For whom the nose faculty arises, will the life faculty arise? For those in their last existence, who are reborn in the sense-sphere, their nose faculty arises, but their life faculty will not arise. For others with a nose, who are reborn, their nose faculty also arises, and their life faculty will arise. (B) Or for whom the life faculty will arise, does the nose faculty arise? For all who are passing away, for those without a nose, who are reborn, their life faculty will arise, but their nose faculty does not arise. For those with a nose, who are reborn, their life faculty also will arise, and their nose faculty arises. (A) For whom the nose faculty arises, will the joy faculty arise? For those in their last existence, who are reborn in the sense-sphere, and for those with a nose, who will attain final Nibbāna after being reborn with equanimity, for them, when reborn, their nose faculty arises, but their joy faculty will not arise. For others with a nose, who are reborn, their nose faculty also arises, and their joy faculty will arise. (B) Or for whom the joy faculty will arise, does the nose faculty arise? For all who are passing away, for those without a nose, who are reborn, their joy faculty will arise, but their nose faculty does not arise. For those with a nose, who are reborn, their joy faculty also will arise, and their nose faculty arises. (A) For whom the nose faculty arises, will the equanimity faculty arise? For those in their last existence, who are reborn in the sense-sphere, and for those with a nose, who will attain final Nibbāna after being reborn with joy, for them, when reborn, their nose faculty arises, but their equanimity faculty will not arise. For others, those with a nose, when being reborn, for them, the nose-faculty arises, and the equanimity-faculty will arise.
