For those arising in the five-constituent existence, for those without eyes, for those passing away from the sense-sphere, for non-percipient beings, for them, there... Indeed, for whom/where the eye-base does not cease, but for them/there the form-base will cease. For those in the formless realms, for them/there the eye-base does not cease, and the form-base will not cease. (Kha) Or again, for whom/where the form-base will not cease, for them/there does the eye-base not cease? For those attaining final Nibbana in the five-constituent existence, for them/there the form-base will not cease, but for them/there the eye-base will cease. For those in the formless realms, for them/there the form-base will not cease, and the eye-base does not cease. (Ka) For whom/where the eye-base does not cease, for them/there will the mind-base not cease? For those arising in the five-constituent existence, who are eyeless, for those passing away from the sense-sphere, for those in the formless realms, for them/there the eye-base does not cease, but for them/there the mind-base will cease. For those attaining final Nibbana in the formless realms, for the non-percipient beings, for them/there the eye-base does not cease, and the mind-base will not cease. (Kha) Or again, for whom/where the mind-base will not cease, for them/there does the eye-base not cease? For those attaining final Nibbana in the five-constituent existence, for them/there the mind-base will not cease, but for them/there the eye-base will cease. For those attaining final Nibbana in the formless realms, for the non-percipient beings, for them/there the mind-base will not cease, and the eye-base does not cease. (Ka) For whom/where the eye-base does not cease, for them/there will the phenomena-base not cease? For all those arising, who are eyeless, for those passing away, for them/there the eye-base does not cease, but for them/there the phenomena-base will cease. For those attaining final Nibbana in the formless realms, for them/there the eye-base does not cease, and the phenomena-base will not cease. (Kha) Or again, for whom/where the phenomena-base will not cease, for them/there does the eye-base not cease? Does it cease? For those attaining final Nibbāna in the five-constituent existence, for them there the mind-object base will not cease, but for them there the eye base does not cease. For those attaining final Nibbāna in the formless existence, for them there the mind-object base will not cease, and the eye base does not cease. (Based on the eye base) 181. (A) For whom, where the nose base does not cease, for him there will the form base not cease? For those being reborn in the sense-sphere, for those without a nose, for those passing away from the sense-sphere, for those in the form-sphere, for them there the nose base does not cease, but for them there the form base will not cease. For those attaining final Nibbāna in the form-sphere, for those in the formless sphere, for them there the nose base does not cease, and the form base will not cease. (B) Or for whom, where the form base will not cease, for him there does the nose base not cease? For those attaining final Nibbāna in the sense-sphere, for them there the form base will not cease, but for them there the nose base does not cease. For those attaining final Nibbāna in the form-sphere, for those in the formless sphere, for them there the form base will not cease, and the nose base does not cease. (A) For whom, where the nose base does not cease, for him there will the mind base not cease? For those being reborn in the sense-sphere, for those without a nose, for those passing away from the sense-sphere, for those in the form-sphere, for those in the formless sphere, for them there the nose base does not cease, but for them there the mind base will not cease. For those attaining final Nibbāna in the form-sphere, in the formless sphere, for the non-percipient beings, for them there the nose base does not cease, and the mind base will not cease. (B) Or for whom, where the mind base will not cease, for him there does the nose base not cease? For those attaining final Nibbāna in the sense-sphere, for them there the mind base will not cease, but for them there the nose base does not cease. For those attaining final Nibbāna in the form-sphere, in the formless sphere of those who are born among the non-percipient beings, for them there the mind-base will not cease and the nose-base does not cease. (A) For whom, where, the nose-base does not cease, for them, there, will the phenomena-base not cease? For all those who are arising, for those without a nose, for those who are passing away, for them, there, the nose-base does not cease, but for them, there, the phenomena-base will not cease. For those who are fully extinguished in the form realm, in the formless realm, for them, there, the nose-base does not cease and the phenomena-base will not cease. (B) Or again, for whom, where, the phenomena-base will not cease, for them, there, does the nose-base not cease? For those who are fully extinguished in the sense realm, for them, there, the phenomena-base will not cease, but for them, there, the nose-base does not cease. For those who are fully extinguished in the form realm, in the formless realm, for them, there, the phenomena-base will not cease and the nose-base does not cease. (Rooted in the nose-base) 182. (A) For whom, where, the form-base does not cease, for them, there, will the mind-base not cease? For those who are arising in the five-constituent existence, for those without form, for them, there, the form-base does not cease, but for them, there, the mind-base will not cease. For those who are fully extinguished in the formless realm, for those who are arising as non-percipient beings, for them, there, the form-base does not cease and the mind-base will not cease. (B) Or again, for whom, where, the mind-base will not cease, for them, there, does the form-base not cease? For those who are fully extinguished in the five-constituent existence, for those who are passing away from non-percipient beings, for them, there, the mind-base will not cease, but for them, there, the form-base does not cease. For those who are fully extinguished in the formless realm, for those who are arising as non-percipient beings, for them, there, the mind-base will not cease and the form-base does not cease. (A) For whom, where, the form-base does not cease, for them, there, will the phenomena-base not cease? is it? For all those being reborn in formless realms, and for those passing away from formless realms, for them the rūpa-sphere does not cease there, but for them the dhamma-sphere will not cease there. For those attaining final Nibbāna in formless realms, for them the rūpa-sphere does not cease there, and the dhamma-sphere will not cease there. (Kha) Or again, for whom, where, the dhamma-sphere will not cease, for them, there, the rūpa-sphere does not cease? For those attaining final Nibbāna in the five-constituent existence, for them the dhamma-sphere will not cease there, but for them the rūpa-sphere does not cease there. For those attaining final Nibbāna in formless realms, for them the dhamma-sphere will not cease there, and the rūpa-sphere does not cease there. (Rooted in the rūpa-sphere) 183. (Ka) For whom, where, the mind-sphere does not cease, for them, there, the dhamma-sphere will not cease? It will cease. (Kha) Or again, for whom, where, the dhamma-sphere will not cease, for them, there, the mind-sphere does not cease? It does cease. (6) Past and Future Section (Ka) Direct individual 184. (Ka) For whom the eye-sphere ceased, for them the ear-sphere will cease? For those attaining final Nibbāna in the five-constituent existence, for those in their last existence in formless realms, and for those who, having been reborn in formless realms, will attain final Nibbāna, for them, when passing away, the eye-sphere ceased, but for them the ear-sphere will not cease. For others, for them the eye-sphere ceased, and the ear-sphere will cease. (Kha) Or again, for whom the ear-sphere will cease, for them the eye-sphere ceased? Yes, it did. (Ka) For whom the eye-sphere ceased, for them the nose-sphere will cease? For those attaining final Nibbāna in the sense-sphere, for those in their last existence in form-realms and formless realms, and for those who, having been reborn in form-realms and formless realms, will attain final Nibbāna, for them, when passing away, the eye-sphere ceased, but for them the nose-sphere will not cease. For others, for them the eye-sphere ceased, and (It) did not cease, and the nose-base will cease. (Kha) Or for whom, again...? Yes. (Ka) For whom the eye-base ceased, for them will the form-base cease? For those who attain final Nibbāna in the five-constituent existence, for those who are last-existents in the formless realm, and for those who, having arisen in the formless realm, will attain final Nibbāna, for them, when they are passing away, for them the eye-base ceased, but for them the form-base will not cease. For the others, for them the eye-base ceased and the form-base will cease. (Kha) Or for whom, again...? Yes. For whom the eye-base ceased, for them will the mind-base... ...the phenomena-base cease? For those who attain final Nibbāna, for them the eye-base ceased, but for them the phenomena-base will not cease. For the others, for them the eye-base ceased and the phenomena-base will cease.
