Is it not that they are not attainments, not rebirths, not pleasant abiding in this very life, not accompanied, not co-arisen, not intermingled, not associated with the consciousness of attainments, the consciousness of rebirths, the consciousness of pleasant abiding in this very life, not having one arising, one cessation, one basis, one object? Yes. If indeed they are not attainments, not rebirths, not pleasant abiding in this very life...etcetera... not having one object, then indeed it should not be said: "Lust for form lies latent in the element of form, is included in the element of form"...etcetera... It should not be said thus... (etc.) ...having one object? Yes. If it is not an attainment, not an arising, not a pleasant abiding in this very life... (etc.) ...having one object, then surely it should not be said: "Formless craving lies latent in the formless realm, included in the formless realm."
