whose inclination is that, whose leaning is that, whose burden is that, whose resolve is that, whose sovereignty is that. That which leads to an abundance of wisdom – this is an abundance of wisdom. What is this "swift wisdom" that leads to it? Swiftly, swiftly, one perfects moral conduct – that is swift wisdom. Swiftly, swiftly, one perfects sense-restraint – that is swift wisdom. Wisdom. Quickly, quickly one fulfills moderation in eating— this is quick wisdom. Quickly, quickly one fulfills application to wakefulness— this is quick wisdom. Quickly, quickly one fulfills the aggregate of morality— this is quick wisdom. Quickly, quickly one fulfills the aggregate of concentration— this is quick wisdom. Quickly, quickly one fulfills the aggregate of wisdom— this is quick wisdom. Quickly, quickly one fulfills the aggregate of liberation— this is quick wisdom. Quickly, quickly one fulfills the aggregate of knowledge and vision of liberation— this is quick wisdom. Quickly, quickly one penetrates what is possible and impossible— this is quick wisdom. Quickly, quickly one fulfills the attainments of dwelling— this is quick wisdom. Quickly, quickly one penetrates the Noble Truths— this is quick wisdom. Quickly, quickly one develops the foundations of mindfulness— this is quick wisdom. Quickly, quickly one develops the right exertions— this is quick wisdom. Quickly, quickly one develops the bases of psychic power— this is quick wisdom. Quickly, quickly one develops the faculties— this is quick wisdom. Quickly, quickly one develops the powers— this is quick wisdom. Quickly, quickly one develops the factors of enlightenment— this is quick wisdom. Quickly, quickly one develops the Noble Path— this is quick wisdom. Quickly, quickly one realizes the fruits of recluseship— this is quick wisdom. Quickly, quickly one penetrates the higher knowledges— this is quick wisdom. Quickly, quickly one realizes the ultimate Nibbāna— this is quick wisdom. That which conduces to quick wisdom— this is quick wisdom. What is nimble wisdom, that which conduces to nimble wisdom? Nimbly, nimbly one fulfills moralities— this is nimble wisdom. Nimbly, nimbly one fulfills restraint of the senses— this is nimble wisdom. Nimbly, nimbly one fulfills moderation in eating— this is nimble wisdom. Nimbly, nimbly one fulfills application to wakefulness— this is nimble wisdom. Nimbly, nimbly one fulfills the aggregate of morality... the aggregate of concentration... the aggregate of wisdom... the aggregate of liberation... the aggregate of knowledge and vision of liberation— this is nimble wisdom. Nimbly, nimbly one penetrates what is possible and impossible— this is nimble wisdom. Swiftly, swiftly one completes the attainments of dwelling—that is swift wisdom. Swiftly, swiftly one penetrates the noble truths—that is swift wisdom. Swiftly, swiftly one develops the foundations of mindfulness—that is swift wisdom. Swiftly, swiftly one develops the right exertions—that is swift wisdom. Swiftly, swiftly one develops the bases of psychic power—that is swift wisdom. Here, someone abounding in joy, abounding in delight, abounding in contentment, abounding in gladness completes moral precepts—that is joyful wisdom. Abounding in joy, abounding in delight, abounding in contentment, abounding in gladness completes sense restraint—that is joyful wisdom. Abounding in joy, abounding in delight, abounding in contentment, abounding in gladness completes moderation in food—that is joyful wisdom. Abounding in joy, abounding in delight, abounding in contentment, abounding in gladness completes devotion to wakefulness—that is joyful wisdom. Abounding in joy, abounding in delight, abounding in contentment, abounding in gladness completes the aggregate of morality—that is joyful wisdom. Abounding in joy, abounding in delight, abounding in contentment, abounding in gladness completes the aggregate of concentration—that is joyful wisdom. What is swift-wisdom, that leads to swiftness-wisdom? Whatever form, past, future, present, internal or external, gross or subtle, inferior or superior, far or near, all form, swiftly runs as impermanent – this is swift-wisdom. Swiftly runs as suffering – this is swift-wisdom. Swiftly runs as non-self – this is swift-wisdom. Whatever feeling... (and so on) Whatever perception... Whatever formations... Whatever consciousness, past, future, present, internal or external, gross or subtle, inferior or superior, far or near, all consciousness, swiftly runs as impermanent – this is swift-wisdom. Swiftly runs as suffering – this is swift-wisdom. Swiftly runs as non-self – this is swift-wisdom. Eye... (and so on) ...old age and death, past, future, present, swiftly runs as impermanent – this is swift-wisdom. Swiftly runs as suffering – this is swift-wisdom. Swiftly runs as non-self – this is swift-wisdom. Form, past, future, present, impermanent in the sense of perishing, suffering in the sense of danger, non-self in the sense of being without essence – having weighed, having determined, having clarified, having made clear, swiftly runs to the cessation of form, to Nibbāna – this is swift-wisdom. Feeling... (and so on) Perception... Formations... Consciousness... Eye... (and so on) Old age and death, past, future, present, impermanent in the sense of perishing, suffering in the sense of danger, non-self in the sense of being without essence – having weighed, having determined, having clarified, having made clear, swiftly runs to the cessation of old age and death, to Nibbāna – this is swift-wisdom. Form, past, future, present, impermanent, conditioned, dependently arisen, subject to decay, subject to vanishing, subject to dispassion, subject to cessation – having weighed, having determined, having clarified... Or, having made it manifest, it swiftly runs to the cessation of form, to Nibbāna – this is swift wisdom. Feeling... (and so on) ...perception... formations... consciousness... eye... (and so on) ...aging-and-death, past, future, and present, impermanent, conditioned, dependently arisen, subject to destruction, subject to vanishing, subject to dispassion, subject to cessation – having weighed, having crossed over, having made clear, having made manifest, it swiftly runs to the cessation of aging-and-death, to Nibbāna – this is swift wisdom. It leads to swift wisdom – this is swift wisdom. What is sharp wisdom that leads to sharp wisdom? It swiftly cuts defilements – this is sharp wisdom. It does not tolerate arisen sensual thoughts, it abandons them, dispels them, makes them cease, brings them to non-existence – this is sharp wisdom. It does not tolerate arisen ill-will thoughts, it abandons them, dispels them, makes them cease, brings them to non-existence – this is sharp wisdom. It does not tolerate arisen thoughts of harming... (and so on) ... It does not tolerate any arisen evil, unwholesome states, it abandons them, dispels them, makes them cease, brings them to non-existence – this is sharp wisdom.
