The Saṅgha rehabilitates Udāyī the bhikkhu. Whoever among the venerable ones agrees to the rehabilitation of Udāyī the bhikkhu, let him be silent; whoever does not agree, let him speak. A second time I state this matter... and so on... A third time I state this matter... and so on... Udāyī the bhikkhu has been rehabilitated by the Saṅgha. The Saṅgha agrees, therefore it is silent. Thus I hold this. Concealed. The half-month probation 121. At that time, the venerable Udāyī had fallen into one offense of intentional emission of semen, concealed for half a month. He told the bhikkhus: “Friends, I have fallen into one offense of intentional emission of semen, concealed for half a month. How should I proceed?” They reported this matter to the Blessed One. “Then, bhikkhus, let the Saṅgha give Udāyī the bhikkhu a half-month probation for one offense of intentional emission of semen, concealed for half a month. And thus, bhikkhus, it should be given: “Then, bhikkhus, that bhikkhu Udāyī, having approached the Saṅgha…pe… should be addressed thus: ‘Venerable sirs, I have fallen into one offense of intentional emission of semen, concealed for half a month. Therefore, venerable sirs, I ask the Saṅgha for a half-month probation for one offense of intentional emission of semen, concealed for half a month.’ He should be asked a second time. He should be asked a third time. A competent and able bhikkhu should inform the Saṅgha: 122. “May the Saṅgha, venerable sirs, listen to me. This bhikkhu Udāyī has fallen into one offense of intentional emission of semen, concealed for half a month. He asks the Saṅgha for a half-month probation for one offense of intentional emission of semen, concealed for half a month. It is agreeable to the Sangha, therefore it is silent. Thus do I hold this. Reinstatement to the beginning of the half-month's probation 123. While he was on probation, he committed another offense of intentional emission of semen, concealed for five days. So I requested the Sangha for a half-month's probation for one offense of intentional emission of semen, concealed for half a month. While on probation, I committed an intervening offense of intentional emission of semen concealed for five days.
