This human body, so difficult to find and easy to lose, Do not make plans based on clinging to permanence. Even if a great man has a vast estate, He will leave all his deeds behind and depart. Son, do not increase your worldly knowledge, But turn your mind towards practicing the Dharma. Procrastinating with the thought of doing it next time, There is a danger of falling into procrastination. The suffering of samsara is difficult to overcome, It cannot be accomplished with laziness and negligence, So urge yourself day and night with the whip of mindfulness. Immediately release the reins of the runaway mind. The sound and echo of the rocks seem to deceive, Do not greedily devour the crumbs of fame. Do not take the words of others to heart, But engage in meditation with your own decisive wisdom. The solitary hermitage in a secluded place is peaceful, Rely on a livelihood that is not mixed with immediate sins. Those who are arrogant with wealth, power, and authority, Will reveal their impermanent nature and deceive you. Son, focus your mind on contentment and knowing enough. In general, the bonds of desire are difficult to untangle, But contemplate their meaningless nature. The reliable refuge of the mind is only the Dharma. Guard your vows more precious than your own life. Do not waver in your devotion to the guru, And do not cease your fervent prayers. Do not be lax in your practice. This pristine, self-arisen awareness, Leave it in its natural state without fabrication. Do not accept or reject its natural flow, But let whatever arises naturally liberate itself. Whatever actions or distractions you engage in, By meeting and recognizing whatever arises, By leaving it in its natural state, it will naturally be released. Abandon it as you please, and be at ease. In short, this wheel of diverse appearances, Is merely appearance, without substance. Inner awareness is primordially peaceful in the dharmadhatu. Nothing is established, only self-knowing awareness. Focus your view on that state. Do not fabricate or alter whatever arises, Whether it remains, changes, or whatever it may be, The king of awareness, hold your own ground. Even if you say to rely on unwavering mindfulness, Dissolve both the object of mindfulness and the mind that remembers into the dharmadhatu. Focus the key point of your meditation there. Generate unwavering faith in the law of karma, Generate renunciation of samsara without attachment, Generate compassion for beings who have not realized the truth, Rely on the guru who embodies all three refuges, Dedicate whatever merit you accumulate to the benefit of others. If you need practice, then strive here! The Dharmakaya, which has been abiding from the very beginning, although abiding in primordial liberation and primordial perfection, but wandering in samsara without realizing it. When one realizes the meaning of no increase or decrease, then faults and obscurations are liberated in their own place. If you want the fruit, then that's how it should be done. Now I hope that you will practice and realize the true nature of your own mind. May your own continuum of liberation reach the ultimate, so that you can ripen and liberate the continuums of others. This was the instruction of Tāranātha to Ngawang Phuntsok, the steward of Sothok. Auspiciousness! Homage to the Guru! Having paid homage to the qualified Lama, who leads to the path of liberation with devotion, even if I am lazy in practice, I will express my heartfelt advice to others. Having obtained a human body once in a while, if one spends one's life on the path of distraction, it will be difficult to encounter the Dharma later, and there is no greater loss than that. Childhood passes in an instant, and youth turns to old age, and most people die before they have time to grow old, still thinking that there is time to use. Even if one allows old age to come, saying tomorrow and the day after, a month becomes a year. A few years pass, and before one is ready, one is already old and facing death. Eating, drinking, going, and staying, and the chatter of sleep and talk, are exhausted without leaving any merit. Enjoyment is like autumn clouds, and youth is like dew on the tip of grass. Time is like water flowing down a steep mountain, think about this place where there is no staying! Someone in a clear dream, accompanied by desirable and happy friends, singing and dancing and enjoying happiness, but when they wake up, they don't know where they have gone, without a trace. Being attached to that dream and suffering, feeling sad about its disappearance, taking and rejecting illusory appearances, that person is truly foolish. Present friends, enjoyments, enemies, and friends, all are merely illusory appearances, except for creating joy and sorrow with conceptual thoughts, there is no accomplishment in the true nature. Furthermore, this place that produces happiness cannot be entrusted with eternal happiness. Because this is only a wish for a few years and months, do not always think about it, but strive to practice the Dharma. Do others say that you have any plans? Obstacles to wishes.
