After destroying distractions, due to uncertainty about place, time, and behavior, all the changes that arise in the mind should be mixed with the sound of (ཧཱུྃ,Hūṃ,hūṃ,Hūṃ) as before. All that appears as miraculous manifestations should be recognized as one's own mind. One should strongly cultivate compassion towards those who harm and make prayers. One should not have even a speck of attachment to the body and possessions, as well as one's own retinue. For suffering and happiness, good and bad, pleasant and unpleasant words, etc., all the subtle discriminations that arise concerning the eight worldly concerns (the eight worldly dharmas, referring to gain, loss, disgrace, fame, praise, blame, suffering, and happiness) should be dissolved into the dharmadhatu. Eliminating unfavorable factors, this should be practiced after some experience has been gained in subsequent yoga enhancement. Third, the exceedingly profound yoga: it is divided into two, preliminary practices and main practices. The first is further divided into the actual and the auxiliary. The first includes: Puraka, which means filling; Recaka, which means expelling or the tip of dust; Bhujanga, which means the limb of earth; Kumbhaka, which means the vase; and Trataka, which means pressing or stiffening. First, Puraka, with two sounds: Keeping the body in posture, exhale secretly several times. Focus the mind on the tip of the nose, and exhale with a hissing sound. When inhaling, slowly reduce the force, rubbing the air between the roots of the nostrils, drawing in for a long time with the sound of the letter (ཨ,A,ā,A). At that time, focus awareness on the navel chakra. When the inhalation is complete, press the air slightly on the navel chakra. Release it again and inhale as before. This should be practiced constantly. Learning to be silent: similar to the others, but slowly inhaling air from the middle of the nostrils, it will become silent. Recaka also has two sounds: Clear the stale air several times, and inhale quickly. Focus the mind on the space four fingers' width from the tip of the nose, exhale slowly, rubbing between the nasal passages, which will produce a sound. When the exhalation is complete, press outward forcefully for a moment. Visualize that the body and appearances are all empty and clear. This should be practiced repeatedly. Silent: release slowly and naturally, the others are the same. Third, Bhujanga: In the middle of the body is the central channel, with the upper end reaching the crown of the head and the lower end reaching the navel chakra. The crown of the head is the moon, and the navel chakra is the sun. The nature of white and red bindus, the knots of the channels.

The oral instructions on severing obstacles state to visualize a black snake coiled around the central channel from the navel to the throat. From the throat, its tail curves forward to touch the tip of the tongue. Expel stale air and inhale slowly, visualizing a stream of bodhicitta arising from the moon, filling the central channel, and a hazy, gray state at the navel. Upon completing the inhalation, exhale slowly, visualizing a stream of red rakta arising from the sun at the navel, mixing with white, and filling the ascending stages of the obstacle-severing mothers. Visualize the tip of the tongue pervaded with white and red bindus. As this is not clearly explained in the tantras, it seems acceptable not to teach it during the completion stage. Fourth, Kumbhaka (vase breathing): First, expel stale air and inhale slowly, then forcefully press the navel. Leave the downward-clearing air to its own accord. Swallow air repeatedly from the mouth, visualizing your body as an empty temple of the deity, growing larger and larger. Focus on this as a single point of concentration. Another similar method involves clearly visualizing your body with the three channels and forcefully contracting the downward-clearing air, meditating on union. This is the actual Kumbhaka. Fifth, Trataka (gazing): Expel stale air and forcefully fix your eyes on the space between the eyebrows. Inhale, performing the union of above and below at the navel. Then, forcefully press and contract the navel, moving it to the left, right, front, back, and center, without thinking of anything. Second, other things that are closely needed for the body, as stated in the tantras: "With the sound 'ཧཿ' (Tibetan, Devanagari, haḥ, meaning joy), bind at the time of supreme bliss." Or with the sound 'ཧཱུཾ་' (Tibetan, Devanagari, hūṃ, meaning hum), the sound residing in the heart. Or with the sound 'ཧྲཱིཾ་ཧ་' (Tibetan, Devanagari, hrīṃ ha, meaning hrim ha), the sound residing in the throat. Perform the actions of 'ཧཱུཾ་' (Tibetan, Devanagari, hūṃ, meaning hum) and 'ཕཊ་' (Tibetan, Devanagari, phaṭ, meaning phat), and bind the semen by performing the union of the great arrow. Furthermore, in the interval of one-fourth, one should meditate on coemergent bliss, as it is said. First, the action of the Ha syllable: Visualize a yellow Ha syllable in the secret place, and slowly and prolongedly pronounce 'ཧཿ' (Tibetan, Devanagari, haḥ, meaning joy) with a loud voice, visualizing the Ha syllable rising upwards and extending outwards from the mouth. Finally, pronounce the Ha syllable forcefully, exhaling the air strongly. Then, inhale slowly as before. Second, reciting the Hum syllable: Visualize a Hum syllable at the navel, close your mouth, and slowly and prolongedly pronounce the Hum syllable from the nostrils through the gap between the lips.

Fourth, visualize the syllable "Hūṃ" (藏文:ཧཱུཾ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) from the navel, ascending through the central channel to the aperture at the crown of the head. Finally, utter a short, forceful "Hūṃ" (藏文:ཧཱུཾ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽). Third, the practice of drawing in "Hrīṃ" (藏文:ཧྲཱིཾ,梵文天城体:ह्रीं,梵文罗马拟音:hrīṃ,汉语字面意思:赫利) involves pressing the Adam's apple with the throat and continuously uttering a long "Hrīṃ" (藏文:ཧྲཱིཾ,梵文天城体:ह्रीं,梵文罗马拟音:hrīṃ,汉语字面意思:赫利) syllable without interruption, forcefully exhaling. At the end, forcefully utter "Ha" with strength, visualizing a red, warm breath emanating from the heart and exiting from the crown of the head. Fourth, visualize a blue, radiant "Hūṃ" (藏文:ཧཱུཾ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) syllable on a vajra jewel, with its head pointing upwards. Similar to the previous practice, exhale with a long "Hūṃ" (藏文:ཧཱུཾ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) syllable, visualizing the same "Hūṃ" (藏文:ཧཱུཾ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) syllable exiting from the crown of the head through the central channel. Inhale with a short "Hūṃ" (藏文:ཧཱུཾ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) syllable, and thinking "Phaṭ" (藏文:ཕཊ,梵文天城体:फट,梵文罗马拟音:phaṭ,汉语字面意思:啪), draw in the lower breath. Forcefully roll the breath upwards, visualizing it rolling up from the lower end of the central channel to the nose like small balls, forming a single mass at the crown of the head, and focus on that. Fifth, while holding the breath in kumbhaka, suddenly and forcefully contract the anus, pressing down slightly. Then, perform kumbhaka again, and so on. This is the meditation of repeating that. The benefits of these pranayama practices are: the filling practice cures cold and also heals diseases of the waist, and eliminates mucus and the like, generating warmth and reducing emptiness. The expelling practice eliminates diseases of the head, diseases of the eyes, upper body congestion, and mental wandering, and so on. It generates clear samadhi, and the body becomes light and buoyant. Bhūmyanga prevents untimely death and prolongs life. Kumbhaka accomplishes all those qualities, and also prevents drowning, etc., and suppresses the harms of the four elements. Trāṭaka makes the life force into a single mass and destroys all abdominal diseases such as indigestion. Reciting "Hāḥ" (藏文:ཧཱཿ,梵文天城体:हाः,梵文罗马拟音:hāḥ,汉语字面意思:哈) stabilizes the wisdom of joy and eliminates heart wind and upper body congestion, and so on. Reciting "Hūṃ" (藏文:ཧཱུཾ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) prevents obstacles from demons and stabilizes the wisdom of supreme joy. Reciting "Hrīṃ" (藏文:ཧྲཱིཾ,梵文天城体:ह्रीं,梵文罗马拟音:hrīṃ,汉语字面意思:赫利) eliminates diseases of the throat and stabilizes the wisdom of special joy. Reciting "Hūṃ Phaṭ" (藏文:ཧཱུཾ་ཕཊ,梵文天城体:हुं फट्,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ phaṭ,汉语字面意思:吽啪) like a bow and arrow, stabilizes the innate wisdom at the crown of the head and performs the functions of all the previous practices. The practice at the juncture of the four parts stabilizes the Kunda and the life
