Then, proclaim the precepts: I take refuge in the Three Jewels, the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha. This is the precept of the pure Buddha lineage, may it become firm. You, the great wise one, should hold the vajra, bell, and mudra. The mind of enlightenment is the vajra, wisdom is proclaimed as the bell. The teacher, you should hold them, equal to all the lamas and Buddhas. This is said to be the samaya precept of the pure vajra lineage. Three times day and night, always give the four kinds of generosity: wealth, fearlessness, Dharma, and love. This is always taught as the samaya precept of the pure Ratna lineage.
