It is called without memory. Furthermore, explaining without memory, in what is there no memory? It is in the very Mahamudra itself that there is no memory. What is without? It is without memory by its very nature. How is it without memory? It is without memory like clouds clearing in the sky. Why is it without memory? It is without memory because it abides in the nature of unbornness. What is unborn? The mind of enlightenment is unborn. How is it unborn? Co-emergent wisdom is unborn. Why is it unborn? It is unborn because it dissolves into a dharma that transcends the intellect. Thus, all that transcends the intellect is explained. Realizing self-liberation is called transcending the intellect. What transcends? It transcends into unbornness. Where does it transcend? It transcends into the nature of primordial Mahamudra. By what does it transcend? It transcends by transcending the intellect. How does it transcend? It transcends like a superior person surpassing. Why does it transcend? It transcends because it sees the meaning of Mahamudra. Thus, for a person who realizes Mahamudra, there is no need to listen to the Dharma, explain it, meditate, recite, and so on. The meaning of all those is the primordial Mahamudra, and all the Dharmas that are shown through metaphors without departing from that nature should be abandoned. Thus, that which is free from the bardo is itself the Mahamudra, and nothing else can be found apart from it. Thus, through the metaphor of the oral instructions, the co-emergent memory meets with the meaning of the primordial nature of reality. Thus, by meeting in that way, the previous appearances of memory cease, hence it is without memory. Thus, realizing the meaning of the metaphor as unborn, it is unborn. Because it is free from the dualistic mind of the meaning of the metaphor, it is beyond the intellect. Again, in conjunction with the mudras, because memory abides in the metaphor, it is the karma mudra. Because the great intellect that transcends the appearances that have ceased through the metaphor does not go beyond that, it is the samaya mudra. Thus, realizing the meaning of the metaphor as unborn, that is the nature of reality, hence it is the dharma mudra. Thus, because it is free from both the meaning of the metaphor, there is nowhere to go from that which transcends the intellect, hence it is the Mahamudra. Again, in conjunction with the four joys, experiencing the taste of the nature of reality with memory is joy. The taste being one in without memory is supreme joy. Realizing in the state of unbornness is co-emergent joy. The great intellect that transcends, being free from elaboration, is freedom from joy. Again, in conjunction with the four instants, memory
