Practice the skill of letters, distinguishing between coarse and fine. Then, in order to truly abide, the Shravakas, Bodhisattvas, and Wrathful Deities, abide in their respective postures. Having gained confidence in abiding in liberation. ༈. Abandon all internal and external activities, and adopt the sitting postures of a bull, lion, and sage. Speech is the continuous cessation of speaking, and the mind is focused on the space between the eyebrows. By adjusting the key points of the door, environment, and wind, wisdom manifestly appears in the environment. Do not separate from the key point of manifestation. ༈. By establishing the foundation on the three immovable ones, the warmth of the four appearances is obtained. By grasping the measure of the three abidings, and striking the nail of the three attainments. The three realms are purified, and there is only one reversal. There is no doubt that Nirvana will be attained. ༈. Thus, in the garden of the youthful physician in the south of the thirty-three heavens, when the great Vajradhara demonstrated the manner of completely passing into Nirvana, Garab Dorje fell to the ground and uttered cries of grief: Alas! Alas! Alas! When the light of the teacher's lamp is extinguished, who will dispel the darkness of the world? Having said this, he fainted, and from within the mass of light, he extended the part of his right hand below the elbow, and a container full of precious crystal food. And endowed with it. Samaya. ༈ In Sanskrit: Buddha Dheka Rama Du Nama. In Tibetan: The Second Nirvana of the Buddha. Homage to the one who completely subdues with the power of the perfectly enlightened Buddha. ༈ If you wish to attain Buddhahood for certain, then first diligently practice the preliminaries. If you do not properly distinguish between body, speech, and mind, then you will not be liberated from the three realms, so learn the preliminaries. If you become skilled in the key points of the preliminaries, then you will become skilled in the common and supreme realizations. ༈ Reside alone in a solitary place. In order to perform the preliminary of the body, practice various behaviors of the six realms. Also, perform the practices of the Three Jewels. Sit in the lotus posture, with the soles of the feet together, and straighten the body. Join the palms at the crown of the head. Whoever does this with the body, that body will not regress, obstacles will be pacified, attachment will be reversed, and obscurations will be purified. That body will be liberated into the Nirmanakaya, and will be non-dual with the body of the Buddha, becoming utterly without remainder. ༈ In order to perform the preliminary of speech, utter various sounds of the six realms. Practice various forms of peaceful and wrathful sounds, and the sounds of the elements. Perform a three-month retreat on the key point of increasing. Diligently practice, seek suppleness, and enter the path. Whoever does this with speech, attachment will be reversed, and the obscurations of speech will be purified. Without regression, one will be liberated into the Sambhogakaya, which is non-dual. ༈ In order to perform the preliminary of mind, take the suffering of the six realms to heart. Then search for the arising of the mind. If you do not find it, you will meet the Dharmakaya. Then search for the abiding of the mind. If you do not find it, you will meet the Sambhogakaya. Then search for the going of the mind. If you do not find it, you will meet the Nirmanakaya. Whoever does this with the mind, attachment will be reversed, obstacles will be pacified, obscurations will be purified, and the three realms will not regress. One will be liberated into the Dharmakaya, attaining non-dual Nirvana. ༈ Then become skilled in settling the body, speech, and mind. By doing so, you will fully master these three, and thus you will strive in actual practice. Having thus completed the preliminaries, even if you forget them from your mind, in order to introduce the key point of direct perception, abandon the activities of body, speech, and mind. ༈ This is in the great charnel ground, the place where various Dakinis gather, east of the blazing fire mountain, explaining the manner in which the perfectly enlightened Buddha demonstrates complete Nirvana.

At that time, Garab Dorje fell to the ground and uttered a lament of grief: Alas, alas, alas, emptiness! When the light of the teacher's lamp is extinguished, who will dispel the darkness of the world? Saying this, he fainted and then awoke. In the sky in front of him, in the center of a mass of light, his right arm from the elbow down extended, and on the molten surface of lapis lazuli, letters of the five precious jewels appeared spontaneously. If the body desires to pass into nirvana, then learn the way of abiding in the three kayas. Whoever does this, all the Buddhas of the three times pass into nirvana in the expanse of the body. ༈ Speech is the order of learning, abiding firmly and repeating it again and again. Whoever does not transcend it, all the Buddhas of the three times pass into nirvana in the expanse of speech. ༈ The key point of mind is to restrain the three ways of looking; the key point of the object is the sky, free from obstacles; the key point of the door is to avert, subdue, and look askance; the key point of the wind is to cherish it as extremely slow. In this way, by tormenting the three key points, the wisdom of the three kayas arises as emptiness. The wandering awareness is imprisoned. Seeing the key point directly, there is no turning back. ༈ Through the direct manifestation of the nature of reality, the view of grasping with conceptual thought is extinguished. Through the experience of increasing upwards, the wisdom of the bardo is manifested. Through the manifestation of awareness reaching its limit, the Sambhogakaya is recognized. Through the manifestation of the exhaustion of the nature of reality, the fruit of Atiyoga's effortless action is attained. If one perfects these four, there is no need to seek nirvana elsewhere. By establishing a foundation on the three unmoving ones, the three abidings reach their limit. Signs will appear in body, speech, and mind. The nail of the three attainments is struck. Beyond that, there is nothing to show. Samaya. ༈ Whatever teaching descends, write it well with precious jewels and keep it in a secret place. Whoever honors it will surely be liberated. Rainbow.
