I beseech all the victorious ocean of beings, the omniscient Jonangpa fathers and sons, and the vast assembly of noble ones, to heed me! Please bless me! Please embrace me with compassion! I prostrate with reverence in body, speech, and mind! I make you joyful with offerings of all things! I confess all misdeeds individually! I rejoice in all virtues! I urge you to turn the wheel of Dharma without exception! I pray that you do not pass into nirvana! I take refuge sincerely! I generate the mind of enlightenment in order to attain your state! I will rely on the means, the conduct, and the extraordinary path! I dedicate the unsurpassed virtue to perfect and complete enlightenment! By the power of all the roots of virtue of myself and all sentient beings, doing, about to do, and having done virtue in the three times, done by myself, caused others to do, and rejoicing and praising in the doing, may I and all sentient beings quickly attain the state of omniscient Buddhahood! Omniscient Dharma King, emanation of all Buddhas of the three times, the great Dolpopa who possesses the four reliances, Sherab Gyaltsen Palsangpo, whose name is difficult to pronounce, may your teachings flourish and spread in all directions and remain for a long time! May the surface of the earth be filled with extremely many virtuous spiritual friends who hold the good view and conduct of the day and the excellent tenets, and who uphold their intentions! May their pure activities increase more and more, and may there be no obstacles whatsoever to such activities! May all sentient beings, including myself, in this life and in all other lives, accomplish the activities of you, the Omniscient Dharma King, and hold the secret treasury of speech! May we never be separated from the appearance of your body, and may we accomplish all the wishes of your heart! May disbelief and wrong views not arise even for a moment, and with intense devotion and firm faith, may the ocean of praise and hymns to you, the Omniscient Buddha of the three times, be proclaimed in all directions! May all beings who lack faith in the great ones enter into faith. May all humans and non-humans, as well as all powerful gods and spirits, cause the omniscient one with the four reliances to flourish your teachings and respectfully make offerings. Likewise, may all humans and non-humans who have faith in your teachings have long lives and be free from illness, and may all desired good things, such as wealth, power, strength, and glorious splendor, be accomplished without obstacles. In all lifetimes, may I enter into the excellent biography of the victorious Jonangpa the Great. May I accomplish only the means to please your heart. May I subdue all opponents with the thunder of the Dharma that upholds your intention. May all who hate and harm your teachings be subdued by various methods of taming according to their needs, and may they be established in your teachings. May those that have not spread be spread, may those that have spread be purified and increased, and may those that have declined be restored. May I cherish your teachings more than my body, possessions, and even my life. May I understand the meaning of the pure lineage, or the pure realm, the Tathagatagarbha, adorned with all the qualities of the Buddha, which is primordially accomplished. May I gain certainty in the meaning of the Buddha's permanence, the Dharma's truth, and the Sangha's infallibility. May I realize the meaning of illusion-like appearances, where there are no phenomena of subject and object in relative truth. May I manifest the state of ultimate reality, free from elaboration, permanent, stable, peaceful, and eternal. Starting from the profound path of Vajra Yoga, may I attain the state of the four Vajras and the four Kayas in this very life. In all circumstances, may I rely on the intention of the minds, the nectar of the speech, and the definitive ultimate doctrine of the lineage-holders, the incarnate Dolpopa the Great, the Dharma Lord and his spiritual sons, and may I enter into all the teachings of the Buddhas without exception. May others also enter into this very true Dharma alone. May I directly see the face of the emanation of the protector of the world, the great Jonangpa Dharma Lord and his spiritual sons, and may I rely on them without separation. May I have access to all vehicles.

May you become wise and uphold the view of Shentong Madhyamaka without separation. Possessing vows, may you transform all two stages into yoga, and may all of that have the essence of Vajra Yoga. May the conduct of Bodhisattvas be perfected, and may you be able to benefit others impartially. May all the main figures, such as kings, be subdued by the Dharma in accordance with the Dharma, and may they be established on this excellent path of virtue. May all obstacles to the flourishing of your teachings be pacified in the Dharmadhatu. May all favorable conditions that contribute to benefit, such as gain and respect, be accomplished effortlessly. May all actions and activities of samsara, nirvana, and the three realms become the cause for nourishing, propagating, maintaining, and increasing your teachings. May the definitive teachings that form the basis of the path of perfect liberation, the profound Madhyamaka path that abandons the extremes of permanence and annihilation, and reveal the meaning of the non-elaborate Tathagatagarbha, flourish in the ten directions! May the teachings of the all-knowing Dharma King Jonangpa spread throughout all regions, never decline in all directions, and always increase and prosper in all times! May all Dharma doors be clarified by grasping the key points of the path connecting view and practice, through the ultimate Sutra meaning of Shentong Madhyamaka and the ultimate Tantra meaning of Vajra Yoga! For the teachings that fulfill the four reliances, may all actions and activities that benefit it bring longevity, freedom from illness, increase of wealth, attainment of supreme power, and freedom from obstacles! May all Dharma protectors, gods, and spirits who guard and rejoice in the teachings of the all-knowing Dolpopa, the Buddha of the three times, increase in power and protect the world! By the blessings of the lineage lamas, the power of the Yidam ocean of victorious ones, and the strength of the Dakinis, Dharma protectors, and guardians, may this aspiration be fulfilled as it is made! May this aspiration also be accomplished without obstacles by the power of truth of the Three Jewels: the Buddhas appearing in the ten directions and three times, the true Dharma of scripture and realization, the basis, path, and fruit, and the noble Sangha abiding on the path of the three vehicles! From purity, and the unfailing truth of conventional cause and effect, through the truth of samadhi, mantra, and substances, may the prayers made in this way be fulfilled. Thus, may the supreme kings, together with their sons and disciples, the Dharma protectors, gods, sages, and vidyadharas, and all the powerful ones who protect the white side, accomplish the prayers made here. Through the unchanging auspiciousness of the Three Jewels, and the perfection of the ultimate, constant, and true reality, may the activities of the Lord of the Definitive Meaning teachings, the Jonangpas, flourish and increase, may there be auspiciousness! This profound and uncommon prayer was composed by Gyal Khampa Tāranātha at the supreme sacred site of Chokhor Lhassa (Lhasa). Whoever recites this prayer will have a complete abundance of life, power, wealth, Dharma, and the bliss of liberation. Auspiciousness! The Important Prayer. Through the blessings of the Lama and the Three Jewels, the power of the Dakinis and Dharma protectors, the power of all accumulated merits, and the blessings of the ultimate, vast expanse of emptiness, in this very life, at this very moment, may all debts be completely cleared away, may all bad karma be completely exhausted, may all winds and thoughts be completely stopped. In this life... may all faults be completely exhausted, may all qualities be completely attained, may all wishes be exceedingly well fulfilled. In this life... may the supreme Lama bless me, may the supreme Yidam hold me, may I quickly be liberated after obtaining the supreme empowerment. In this life... may I quickly find the supreme and extraordinary place, the supreme food, the supreme essence, the supreme medicine, the supreme jewel. Having obtained the supreme Dharma, may I quickly be liberated. In this life... may I quickly obtain the three wisdoms, the five eyes, the six abhijñās, the ten bhumis, the ten powers, and the ten strengths, and may I quickly benefit the teachings and beings greatly. In this life... may I go forth with the courage of a vajra, and having obtained all the samadhis such as the treasury of space, may I accomplish all the benefits of beings equal to space.
