The Great Dispeller of Extremes from the Guhyasamaja Tantra of the Peacock-Necked Bodhicitta. In Sanskrit: In Tibetan: The Great Dispeller of Extremes from the Guhyasamaja Tantra of the Peacock-Necked Bodhicitta. Making space completely pure. Homage to the Bhagavan Manjushri, the Great Protector of Light. Thus have I heard: At one time, the Bhagavan was in the realm of Akanishta, called the Hundred Million Buddhas Who See All. With the Great Dispeller of Extremes, like a drawn sword, it completely cuts through all views. This unspoken secret mantra, the supreme vehicle of fruition, is taught with five general meanings: First chapter, the Body of Pure Nature, teaching the great non-abiding wisdom; Second chapter, teaching the spontaneous arising of the great self-born wisdom; Third chapter, teaching the realization of Vajrasattva becoming manifest; Fourth chapter, teaching the following of the Bodhisattva; Fifth chapter, teaching the greatness of the Buddha. Before sentient beings existed, the great elements were inherently noble. Before the great elements, the great space was inherently noble. Before the great space, in the vast expanse of the completely pure nature of reality, the five great elements are themselves completely pure. In the essence of the five great elements, I alone manifest. Without self, I am the realm of ignorance, Samantabhadra is the principal deity. The wisdom of non-discrimination and non-judgment is me, non-abiding nirvana. The non-self, impartial, non-abiding wisdom body, called illusory light, uncreated, like space, not abiding upon hearing, accomplished without effort. Sharp and swift like a golden stake, clear and unmoving like a lamp. Fearless as desired, like mud, the realm is unobstructed, like the sun rising on the surface of a mirror. Thus, in the Peacock-Necked Bodhicitta Dispeller of Extremes Tantra, the first chapter is the teaching of the Body of Pure Nature, the Great Non-Abiding Wisdom. Then, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva asked again: Emaho! Self-born Bhagavan, like the bright sun rising from the expanse of space, bringing complete happiness and well-being to all of Jambudvipa. From the indivisible, pure realm of Dharmadhatu.
