Great One. When is the instruction needed? The instruction is needed at the time of death. Where is the red thread cut at the time of death? The Buddha, mass of light, replied: Secret Lord, at the time of your death, there are two ways to die: dying in the state of Samantabhadra, and dying in the state of Samantabhadra. If dying in the state of Samantabhadri, all diseases will be burned, entering the channels, and dying with less pain and suffering from the illness, dying while lying down. If dying in the state of Samantabhadra, the disease will gather in the heart, and dying with extreme pain and suffering from the illness, with each increase in the pain and suffering from the illness, an increase in the wisdom of realization will arise, therefore, I cut the red thread at the time of my death in the state of Samantabhadra. Then, again, the Secret Lord asked thus: O Buddha, mass of light! One instruction's practice accomplishes Buddhahood, where is the red thread cut at the time of achieving Buddhahood? Then, the Buddha, mass of light, replied: O Secret Lord! There are two ways to achieve Buddhahood: meeting the Dharmata Mother, and wisdom attaining its own ground. Meeting the Dharmata Mother is the cessation of illusory appearances and the arising of pure appearances. Wisdom attaining its own ground is recognizing these five and dissolving into one's own appearances, thereby achieving Buddhahood, therefore, I cut the red thread at the time of my Buddhahood at the time of meeting the Dharmata Mother. Thus he spoke. From the Tantra of the Innate Nature of the Unenlightened, the second chapter, which explains the three red threads. Then, again, the Secret Lord asked thus: O Great Buddha, mass of light! Please speak the five names of the Buddha. Thus he asked. Then, the Buddha, mass of light, replied: O Secret Lord, listen! The five names of the Buddha are: the One Perfectly Complete Buddha, the Primordial Buddha Immutable Light, Awareness Samantabhadra, the Youthful Vase Body Buddha, and the Self-Existing Spontaneously Accomplished Buddha. Listen! One's own awareness, the essence of emptiness, is Samantabhadri. The clarity of awareness is Samantabhadra. Samantabhadra and Samantabhadri are inseparable, therefore it is the one Buddha, from the center of one's own heart, arises the Buddha, mass of light.

Is the immortal youthful vase body. Awareness, the unobstructed clarity of its own nature, is Kuntuzangpo. All sentient beings are Buddhas residing within their own hearts, self-arisen and spontaneously accomplished. The support of the Dharmakaya of the Buddha relies on one's own body. Residing within one's own heart. Manifesting outwardly in one's own eyes. From the Self-Arisen Buddha Tantra, this is the third chapter, showing the names of the Buddhas. Then, again, the Lord of Secrets asked thus. Then, again, the Buddha of Light, the Completely Liberated One, spoke: "O Lord of Secrets, recognizing your own wisdom, there are three aspects to attaining Buddhahood: entering, liberation, and finality. Entering has two aspects. Pure vision entering oneself: at the time of one's death, one's own Buddha arises within oneself. One's own entering into the other: at the time of one's own Buddha arising, one attains Buddhahood through recognizing one's own nature. Constantly observing the luminosity of one's own nature. Liberation has three aspects. Awareness emerging from the central channel liberates all phenomena, internal and external. Awareness separating from the mind liberates one from the conceptualizations of grasping and being grasped. Awareness obtaining its own body, one's own wisdom abiding in its own ground, ignorance is liberated into the wisdom of awareness. Finality is not reverting to being a sentient being after attaining Buddhahood. From the Self-Arisen Buddha Tantra, this is the fourth chapter, showing the manner of liberation." Then, again, the Lord of Secrets asked thus: "Emaho! Great Sugata, Heap of Light, please speak of the three things that are not of the Buddha." Then, the Buddha, Heap of Light, spoke: "Lord of Secrets, one does not attain the uncreated Buddha through created dharmas. Because the Buddha is uncompounded, one does not attain Buddhahood through created dharmas." Then, the Lord of Secrets asked: "Buddha, Heap of Light, Completely Liberated One, please speak of the three things that are of the Buddha." One's own awareness abiding as a great heap of light is a symbol of the Buddha. In the body of the Buddha, body and wisdom abide without interruption. One's own awareness is without birth or death, abiding clearly in the equality of the three times.
