In vain. By what does one realize what is in the mind? The five elements are also Bhagavan. Because of abiding as one, Bhagavan. Because of being present in all, Bhagavan. Because it is the cause of all Buddhas, Samsara arises spontaneously, maturing differently from others. Therefore, all sentient beings are said to possess the Buddha-nature. Sentient beings with ignorance will experience the suffering of Samsara. The nature of all sentient beings is the nature of the Dharmadhatu, which is the all-pervading space. Not seeing it, one does not see it. The meaning of the essential Dharma is not found by speculators, nor is it found by anyone who seeks it. Thus it was said. From the Buddha Knot Tantra, which is the collection of all the body, speech, mind, and wisdom of all the Tathagatas, the fourteenth chapter, the chapter on seeing the nature, is complete. Then, the Tathagata Vajrakila, with wide eyes, gazed upon the retinue and spoke thus: For you future yogis, and for the relief of sentient beings, and for the lineage holders of the Buddhas of the past, future, and present. This first eternal Dharma, you should listen to it accurately, act for those with faith, and for those beings who delight in offerings, those with great desire, explain the empowerment as it should be. Thus it was said. Then, the retinue, having generated joy and rejoicing at the words spoken by the teacher, made offerings with flowers and the five precious substances, circumambulated hundreds and thousands of times with one voice, and after the gods prostrated, they prayed: Wondrous! Wondrous! Buddha Bhagavan. Buddha, the precious jewel of compassion. For the sake of love for sentient beings. You have spoken this first realization. The great stream of compassion. You have spoken, taught, great compassion. We shall uphold it. We shall benefit sentient beings. We shall empower beings. In villages, cities, and towns. We shall circumambulate daily. After praying thus, the Bhagavan looked upon the retinue with upright eyes. Without saying anything, he slept thus. He disappeared. Then, the retinue also looked upon themselves. They disappeared. Of all the Tathagatas
