At that time, the eaves and door frames are decorated with five colors. The scripture says "surrounded," so surrounding it in this way is good. The reason for building the eleven-vajra mesh is that, in the Dharma Meaning, it says: The gatehouse is the house of protection, from the darkness of ignorance above, in order to open the place of seeing wisdom, therefore, the eleven-vajra mesh is built. Its size is also stated in the Secret Perfection: One small part of the eleven vajras. As it says, the supporting points of the vajras at both the upper and lower ends are slightly contracted inward from the beams, and the height of the vajra in between should be one part each. Lhaje Mangkarwa and others consider this to be the same meaning as the felt vajra of a horse's leg, and then determine the number of eleven vajras, etc., which I do not think is reasonable. Because in the Secret Perfection Mahayogi's Stages of Practice by Master Padmasambhava, it says: The four gatehouses are decorated in dark blue, cool and pleasant, and the eleven vajras above make the sky clear. This contradicts the above statement. Regarding the installation location of the door leaves, some think they should be installed inside the door frame, some think they should be installed at the edge of the frame, and some think they should be installed on both the inside and outside. Among these three methods, I think that installing them inside the door frame is the intention of Je Tsongkhapa, and it is the best. If so, Buton Rinpoche said in his Condensed Commentary: Inside all the doors, the guardians should be placed. If this is the case, then it is said that door leaves also need to be installed outside the door frame, would this be a conflict? There is no conflict, even if there is a door outside the guardian, it is not necessarily necessary to have door leaves. If it is absolutely necessary, then Master Tshultrim Kyang also said that the stable should also be like the first door. Moreover, in the Dharma Meaning, it also says: Doors have upper and lower parts, the lower door has a gatehouse, and the upper part is stairs and a cow's back, etc., which should be built in a beautiful way. Since the cow's back is also called a door, it would be too much if door leaves also need to be installed on stables and cow's backs. Sixth, the stable is: In the Vajra Mirror, it says: By walking the eight paths in order, perfecting the qualities of the fruition, therefore the stable shows the sixteen causes and effects. Therefore, the sign of practicing and realizing the eight vehicles of liberation is the horse of the cause.

And, as a sign of the perfection of the eight qualities of the eight vehicles' tenets, there are eight fruition steps, making sixteen in total. Thus, in the *Detailed Display of Illusion*, it says: "The definite emergence of the eight vehicles, or through the parts of cause and effect, inner and outer, appears as eight steps." This explains the causal steps. Further in that text, it says: "For the sake of the complete culmination of that, there are eight qualities, hence horse feet, lotus frames, *zara* nets, hanging ornaments, pendant clusters, *sharbu*, and *khyung* head decorations are arranged in order." This explains the resultant steps. Thus, of the two, the first, the causal steps, is found in the expanded and detailed, and the *Vajra Secret Essence Tantra* and other tantras, which say with one voice: "Emptiness, aspiration, signlessness, and luminosity enter. Therefore, the four wisdom doors arise. There, it possesses eight paths to travel, and transforms into eight steps." And in the *Light Gradations*, it says: "With steps possessing four door frames, for the sake of traversing the path of the abode." Thus. Regarding this, most of the earlier lamas said that because the door is slightly higher than the gatehouse and the corridor, there are four steps from the inside and four from the outside, making eight in total. Je Seton Chenpo said that in the four directions, from the place of mounting the steps to entering the door, there are two steps each, making eight in total. Both of these are unreasonable, because it is very inconvenient to arrange the entrance to the stairs from the inside and outside on the meditation stairs, and if there are two steps in each direction, making a total of eight steps, then it is similar to the decorative steps as well. Also, if one thinks that the latter system is the intention of the *Commentary: Sun Lion* that there are two steps for each door, that is not correct, because the intention of the *Commentary* is that each door has two steps, inner and outer. So what is it? It is that the great scholars and accomplished ones of the past said that the meaning of the stairs being four from the outside and four from the inside is that the outer four stairs are installed at the junction of the door leaf and the door frame, and the inner four stairs are installed at the junction of the door frame and the corridor. Here, later scholars say that Rongpa Chögon of the New School and Rok Sherab Ö of the Nyingma School, etc., think that because there is a way of mounting the steps outside the door, it is very wrong to consider it as steps.

Tagtsang Lotsawa and others praised the prohibition, saying that some scholars said that because it is the place for the horse-landing platform, the word "རྟ་བབས" does not enter the meaning of the Sanskrit word. Although they said that, if someone thinks that this horse-landing platform is a staircase when writing, it is definitely wrong. There is no other fault, because in Sanskrit, "ཏྭ་ར་ཎ་" means obviously hanging, so it is true that it does not have the meaning of hanging on the stairs. But in other aspects, it also means without defilements, so it has become its mudra. Another saying is that "ཏུ་རིང་ཏ་གམ་མ་ཎ་" is done to the horse. When entering the palace, these are the platforms for the horse-landing platform, so they are called that way, which is what the great translators of the past said. Moreover, in 《ཕྱོགས་བཅུ་མུན་སེལ་》, it is also said that the sound of "ཏྭ་ར་ཎ་" is the decoration of the void, the gatekeeper, the platform of the horse-landing platform, and also refers to the stairs, so there is no fault that does not conform to Sanskrit. Without this fault, the previous obstacles are also eliminated. Also, in 《ཆོས་དོན་》, it is said that the eight steps are the Eightfold Path, the eight vehicles, and the eight liberations, which is a common symbolic meaning of the inner and outer stairs. The four of the door step and the horse-landing platform are, three are the three realms, and four are the Eightfold Path with lotus marks. This also explains that each of the inner and outer stairs has a symbolic meaning of four levels. The second is the horse-landing platform of the fruit. The four pillar ends on the outer corner of the door side reach, and the four inner and outer pillars are erected. So, this pillar height including the pillar base is made into seven small parts. In 《ཕྲེང་བ་》, it is said that the pillars of the horse-landing platform should protrude to the construction line and are seven small parts. This statement is unreasonable, because the pillars of the horse-landing platform are slightly longer than the palace, and each pillar is located on a square platform. Because it is located on flat ground, it looks like it is connected to the platform. Therefore, these should be painted on the outside of the platform. If it is said that it is unreasonable because it is forbidden to make the pillars into seven small parts, then the intention of 《ཕྲེང་བ་》 is not like this. Why? Because the previous statement of 《ཕྲེང་བ་》 is that the pillars of the horse-landing platform must protrude to the construction line, and the height of the pillars needs seven small parts, which is
