Practice. The demon who desires to delay asceticism, Practice without concealment. The demon attached to meditating on experience, Leave the mind without any support. Practice without laziness. In the essence of one's own blessing, The blessing demon that enters with doubt, Accomplish the ultimate without doubt. The lama demon who does not believe, Pray with strong devotion. The dharma demon of increasing faith, Strike suffering with an iron hammer. The virtuous demon who loses the compounded at the end, Put practice on hold due to weariness. The miserly demon who wastes generosity, Hoping to obtain the fruit of enjoyment. Obtain vastness without aim. The hypocritical demon who wastes morality, Protect your own mind purely without deception. The angry demon who wastes patience, Use it for the purpose without attachment. The enjoyment demon who wastes diligence, Meditate on the impermanence of death as the nature of reality. The distracting demon who wastes meditation, Let it go into the space of the unwavering nature of reality. The demon who wastes intelligence and does not know his own face, Realize that the mind itself is the Dharmakaya. The body born in one lifetime, Integrate the essence of the sutras into the Dharma. From the Tantra of the Blooming Lotus, The fourth chapter, identifying demons. Again asked: How much connection with demons must be severed? When asked, The Lord of Speech replied: The yogi who practices, Before the mind and habitual patterns are separated, Since samsara and nirvana cannot be distinguished, Therefore, realize that the mind itself is empty. If the nature of samsara is not realized as unborn, Then it cannot be understood, Therefore, realize that samsara has no self-nature. If dualistic thoughts are not liberated, Then the grasping of self and other will not cease, Place dualistic appearances in self-luminous liberation. If the self-liberation of the six aggregates is not known, Then it cannot be severed by meditating with mind-grasping, Therefore, enter into liberation in the state of appearance and emptiness. If weariness of samsara is not born, Then worldly phenomena will not be abandoned, Therefore, contemplate the meaning of compounded cause and effect. If the truth of the nature of reality is not seen, Then the eight worldly dharmas will not be separated, Therefore, practice single-pointedly on the meaning of the nature of reality. If one does not know oneself as one, Then samsara and nirvana cannot be measured by the mind, Therefore, meditate on the meaningless bindu as one. If one does not know that everything is meaningless, Then one will not know that empty fame and boasting are useless, Therefore, cut off all connections.

Da. In terms of name, word, and meaning, 261. Pa. The Lord of Speech again said: Clarity abandons ignorance with equanimity. Non-thought cuts off the aberrations of the mind. Bliss pacifies the pain of the heart. Clarity, non-thought, and bliss, these three, are the nature of reality, also one meaning. Seeing the essence of the mind as empty and clear, the ultimate of clarity is without elaboration. The very nature of mind is free from conceptualization and extremes. The ultimate of non-thought is without grasping and being grasped. There is no pain of recollection in the mind. The ultimate of bliss is free from hope and doubt. Clarity does not fall into annihilation. Non-thought does not fall into permanence. Bliss does not fall into dualistic grasping. Therefore, there is no falling into the path of differentiation. The faults of not realizing these are: attachment to clarity leads to falling into the form realm; attachment to non-thought leads to falling into the formless realm; attachment to bliss leads to falling into the desire realm; if one is attached to non-differentiation, one will involuntarily fall into the meditation heavens. Experiencing clarity, without attachment or clinging, one obtains the Nirmanakaya. If one experiences non-thought, without attachment or clinging, one obtains the Dharmakaya. If one experiences bliss, without attachment or clinging, one obtains the Sambhogakaya. Knowing the self-nature of non-thought in everything, one also obtains the Svabhavikakaya. Because there is no attachment or clinging to anything, one also obtains the immutable Vajrakaya. From the cause of the lotus blooming, the faults of the way of realization, is the chapter on clarity, the seventh. Again, 262, the retinue including Wangmo and others asked: Alas! Buddha, Lord of Speech, what is the recognition of inner and outer awareness? After asking this, the Lord of Speech again said: The recognition of inner and outer objects, for the realm that is pure from the beginning, without alteration, without adulteration, without fabrication, one should realize that it is spontaneously accomplished. When benefiting beings, in the time of clarity, the deities arising from the four immeasurables: Loving-kindness, Wati, is devoted to all; compassion, Jama Li, plays; Bukhang accomplishes benefit with joy; equanimity, Logishvara, protects. The four great self-born compassion, the first has no cause of arising, the middle has no basis of abiding, the last does not perish by conditions. Like the Khenpo who practices view and meditation, the deity made by one's own mind, that deity abides in one's own mind, because it is not accomplished from anything other than the mind, therefore it is emptiness, free from elaboration, spontaneously accomplished. Knowing and clear, there is no designation, the essence is emptiness, the nature is clarity, it is not interrupted, and it does not reach an end, there is no shape or color to be examined.
