Therefore, it was necessary to stay in Choslung for seven days. Most of the people's villages that were previously enjoyed by Tenzin Rinpoche were handed over to Choslung by the Regent sisters during this time, completing the settlement. Some villagers were unable to get what they wanted because they had requested it in advance from Smondro. Regarding this matter of Smondro, when Jetsun Drolchok first came to Choslung, due to the auspicious connection of meeting the leper Tarpa, it was prophesied that there would be great oath obstacles in Choslung, which is even recorded in the biography, and the root of this great oath obstacle lies in Smondro. Initially, he himself had been a close attendant to Je Dampa for many lifetimes. Regarding the fact that Gelong Pelyor was poisoned by the official Phan Ney himself, many people know about it, and he was very powerful. Regarding the fact that Je Lama needed to take on the responsibility of the monastery, Phan Ney only offered the place where scriptures could be taught when he was alive, and offered nothing else. After he passed away, he took on the responsibility for five years, resulting in the top people being cursed and the oath being broken. In the past, they did countless unreasonable things. Later, they also oppressed us as much as they could, and even hung flags when Lama Rinpoche passed away compassionately, and did many things. Previously, when building the relics of Je Drolchok, the offerings from all directions were immeasurable, and it is said that Smondro himself ate a lot of silver and gold and jewels, which is likely to be true. Later, they also often embezzled the monastery's offerings and income. Initially, they themselves were very happy, but due to misappropriating monastery property, they eventually became destitute. They were also the main reason for breaking the monastery's rules, but we hope to eliminate hatred. Because some practitioners of Choslung kept insisting, they confessed to the officials in the Year of the Sheep. Later, they also planned to confess to Pondrung, but the confession was just lip service, and they could not endure it for even a year, and everything from words to deeds was very unreasonable. In general, they broke all oaths and promises, and committed poisoning, evil deeds, deception, etc., which is truly unforgettable.

When there was a slight connection with Nalanda, Tsedong, Ngor, Tagna Namgyal, and other Kham monasteries, when going to request offerings for accumulating merit, everyone unanimously requested the Dharma, saying that this is the only place where we provide service. Jonang is not just talk from the past, but now it's like an empty space. There is one Kumbum (a large stupa), but there is no one to serve it, and there is no one to teach the Dharma. A few nuns live there, and they all say that because they can't get enough to eat, they can only pretend to be ascetic to eat Kargon (a type of food). They only speak deceptive words that covet their small amount of property, and they also think it might be true, so in Kham, they made offerings to many uncertain people who were unrelated to the Jonangpa. After almost exhausting their money, they arrived at Jonang after slightly investigating the situation. Even though there was no grand hospitality, they were extremely happy to make a lot of tea and so on. As it is said that the Kalachakra initiation is needed, together with the locals and foreigners who had not received the Kalachakra initiation before, they performed the initiation grandly. They also did the subsequent permission of the Great Protector and the Small Protector. They realized that many monasteries in U-Tsang are large, but full of lies and hunger. At this time, a lot of snow fell. Lhundrup Pelwa Kunga from the north said, "What kind of calculation will there be for this Tsangpa?" He asked, "Are you worried or not worried about the calamity of Shabdrung Rinsotunpa?" He replied, "The Tsang government seems to be still developing. I have heard a little about the calamity of Shabdrung Rinsotun, but I am more worried about Sojepa, and even more worried about Sogupa. If you can get out of that, it will be better for a while, but that is a big problem. We need such a vast method of averting it." He said this, but you did not believe it, and you did not do any averting. After that, on the 20th day of the second month of the Hor calendar, the Dharma assembly ended, and a fire puja was performed outside the upper Labrang, and from there, they went to Kyipuk and closed the retreat tightly. Virtuous deeds increased, and they had a good time. Although it was like many Khamchu Sesuds (a type of mushroom) appearing at the same time, relying on their respective monasteries, there was not even a slight wavering in their minds. Drongsongba Lhari Tzewa and Chuwokpa, three people, came from Ngamring. Regarding saying big things, small things, big things, and terrible things, and so on, all kinds of uncertain things,

īs gzab byed mkhan ni ye ma byung ngo. Generally speaking, the happiness of sentient beings depends on the Buddha's teachings. This, in turn, depends on the flourishing of monasteries and places of study and practice. This saying, from the mouths of newborn babies to everyone saying, "May the Buddha's teachings flourish, may the position of the Three Jewels be elevated," is a mere verbal prayer, and entrusting to Dharma protectors is done by all, whether monastic or lay, wise or foolish, virtuous or non-virtuous. In reality, those with intelligence and the hope of becoming wise do not wish for the teachings to flourish; they prefer more people to be soldiers paying taxes than to become monks. They do not wish for the position of the Three Jewels to be elevated; they do not want monks to have great power; they want bad people to have great influence. What does it mean for the Three Jewels to have an elevated position? It needs to be investigated. Most of those with the name of Geshe are also like this. The attachment to the guru and the Buddha is enough to use to treat local officials. The attachment to listening, thinking, and meditating is enough to use to treat evil thoughts, harshness, and bad language. The attachment to the Sangha is enough to use to treat relatives or connected bad people, whether male or female. Previously, King Ashoka offered the kingdom to the Sangha, and King Tri Relpachen offered the first gate to the Sangha, the second was the king, and the third was the minister. This saying is not the rambling of a crazy old man. To take away from the power of the Three Jewels and transform it into the food, clothing, and children's benefits of ordinary people does not even have the name of benefiting sentient beings, and all, wise and foolish, do not understand. If the knowledgeable Tibetans pursue the meaning of benefiting sentient beings, they consider it to be accumulating the village's grain. Isn't that so? When Lama Atisha used 130,000 laborers to build a temple, all the workers cursed him and wished him dead. But what he did was not a sinful act, nor was it something that should not be done, but a great deed. The great accomplished Changchub Gyaltsen, fearing the rebellion of the people, did not cut down secular trees, but dismantled all the old temples and covered the Dzong (fortress) with them, and no one said it should not be done and criticized him. The people of the world were all delighted; what he did was indeed Dharma.

Alas! All the kingdoms are sent to hell. Now, for example, for the sake of virtuous deeds, even if one bushel of barley is collected from each village, they feel it is not enough and utter cries of suffering. Compared to that, if all the excessive enjoyments are collected and used for virtuous deeds, not only is there no sin, but the benefits increase even more. Melting down golden books to make gold, turning golden statues into copper statues after they are completed, melting down silver statues to buy tea, dismantling golden mandalas to make a living. Even if those things are given to the foolish people in the villages, or even sold, they will come back with smiling faces. In that case, not only is there no virtue, but all, including oneself and others, are planting the seeds of sin that will lead to the copper and iron hells, isn't it? However, we are people of this life, so we think that such things cannot be understood. Foolish people are indeed foolish, but do not give rise to the arrogance of the wise and intelligent. In general, these monks also seem to like those who do such things, and seem to be unconcerned about the immediate harm. I used to aspire to be a hermit who sought peace and abandoned attachment, and who was careful to avoid becoming a cause for others to do evil. If one does not need to seek outwards or bear inwards, then one is well. However, if one must rely on the wheel of action to bear the burden of the teachings, then one must use one's own wisdom to judge what should be done and what should not be done, and for what should be done, one should not hesitate to do it, without worrying about whether others are happy or considering the gossip of others. As it is said: Even if it is suffering, do what is beneficial; benefits and happiness should be done; even if it is happiness, if it is not beneficial, do not do it. As it is said, one will not deviate from the key points of the Mahayana path. Appearing harsh and stern to others is one way to engage in benefiting others. The tantras also say: For the sake of offering, one can plunder the wealth of kings and the rich. Like this Vajra Secret says: If all sentient beings are killed, they will be born as sons of the Victorious Ones in the Buddha-field of Akshobhya. Isn't that what it says? Phat! (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) That's all, just empty talk. If it does not suit your mind, please forgive me. If you forgive, then the forgiver himself will be happy. For me, it makes no difference whether you forgive or not. On the thirteenth day of the third month of the Hor calendar, the relics of Lungshing (place name) and other places were built.
