Thinking One should practice meditation. The wisdom that resides within oneself is not the domain of speculation; it is subtle and refined, and cannot be investigated. That which subdues the pains of disease is the king of medicines, meditation. Thus it is said. From the Precious Wheel Tantra, the chapter on teaching meditation, the sixth chapter is complete. Following those words of supplication, Vajrasattva again supplicated: For those without view, meditation, and action, how are error, obscuration, and essence distinguished? Hearing those words of supplication, the great Lord of Secrets replied: From the moment of realization, the meaning is clear, because there is no dharma of error, obscuration, and delusion. Having recognized, how can it be established by conditions? Following those words of teaching, Vajrasattva again supplicated: If one is realized, there is no error or obscuration, but for the individual who is not realized, how do the places of error and obscuration arise? Hearing those words of supplication, the great Lord of Secrets replied: For the individual who is not realized, the places of error and obscuration are shown as two. The error of mistaken paths is the place of error. Not understanding the meaning of abiding is obscuration. Wandering in the five sense doors is delusion. The upper one mistakes the path to the lower, I call that the place of error. The two obscurations are like the eyes of a bird, I say they are pure and unobscured. All the vehicles that are obscured below by the error above, with one word of the Great Perfection instructions, distinguish the essence of error and obscuration above and below. Place the three crossroads inside, and establish the three fortresses in the vital points. The king is imprisoned, the ministers are banished, the sons of the enemy are killed, and enemies and friends turn to the Dharma. If delusion arises from the two, the moving and the moved, then distinguish the error, obscuration, and essence of samsara and nirvana. Thus it is said. From the Precious Wheel Tantra, the chapter on distinguishing error, obscuration, and essence, the seventh chapter is complete. Following those words of teaching, to Vajrasattva and others, the great Lord of Secrets, by his own nature, spoke of this practice and conduct that distinguishes error, obscuration, and essence. If one practices the essence of awareness, the intention of the Buddhas will not change. If one practices the definitive meaning of the instructions, it is impossible to turn into the delusion of samsara. If one practices single-pointed meditation, karma and habitual tendencies cannot obscure. If one practices self-arisen wisdom, thoughts will not arise about the Dharma of cause and condition.

Whatever is done with body, speech, and mind, there is no change in the practice of great bliss. If one realizes and practices this, then the clinging to grasping and being grasped will be reversed. Because awareness is without bias, no matter how one acts, attachment does not arise. It is not the realm of practice for the foolish and inferior. The actions of body, speech, and mind are taught to those with inferior minds. Without generating trust in things, if one entrusts the mind to the words of views, even if one claims to be Samantabhadra, one will fall into the error of straying from the path. Although completely equal to Samantabhadra, there is no equality in realization and non-realization. If one does not put the meaning of non-effort into practice, it will be shown as the source of darkness. The yogi of intrinsic nature, wherever he abides, will be liberated. Liberated from the confusion of signs, this definitive understanding is unique. Practice will surely lead to liberation, the meaning of not abandoning practice, in all times of going, staying, sitting, and lying, naturally abiding without separation or union. Phenomena that have arisen should not be denied, phenomena that have not arisen should not be established. Abandoning does not become abandoning, how could establishing achieve anything? Since cause and effect do not arise from elsewhere, it is the wisdom without cause and effect. When the stream of confusion is cut off, the stream of meaning is constant. Wherever one abides, one does not separate, and how could one separate after realization? All the confusions of outer and inner, without deliberately abandoning them, will be liberated. The meanings that are needed all arise, the tantra of the wish-fulfilling jewel, this arises from the wise, how could it be a reversed thought? Thus it is said. From the Jewel Wheel Tantra, the eighth chapter, the practice of cultivation. The Jewel Wheel Tantra is complete. May you be endowed with the seal of instructions. If you are not endowed with the seal of instructions, then the ocean of existence will be turbulent. Therefore, cherish the seals of instructions.
