The Teacher addressed the assembly, saying: Effortless, beyond mind, cannot be heard, spoken, expressed, or symbolized. Thus he spoke. This is the chapter on explaining the state beyond effort and mind, the seventh chapter. Then, Crystal Clear Jewel asked: Where does the complete collection of bindus gather? The Teacher addressed the assembly, saying: The bindu of primordial purity, without substance, gathers all subtle bindus completely. Bindu means without birth, li means without cessation. Complete means all skillful appearances, gathering means gathering into the great primordial purity. That is the complete collection of bindus. Thus he spoke. This is the eighth chapter, which explains the complete collection of bindus. Then, Clear Jewel asked: How is the completely clear instruction? The Teacher addressed the assembly, saying: Although primordial purity itself is beyond words, it is explained so that those of lesser intelligence may realize it. The nature of primordial purity, without substance, is difficult to examine and difficult to show, because it is free from verbal expression. In order to find the root source of the nature of mind, when one looks at oneself, one does not see the inner mind, one does not see the outer mind, and one does not see the mind in the aggregates, elements, and formations. Therefore, not seeing the mind, when looking at where the mind comes from, at that time the mind does not come from anywhere, does not go anywhere, and does not stay anywhere, so primordial purity has no substance. The supreme intention of the sole Buddha, unspeakable, free from all thoughts and discriminations, cannot be pointed out as "this," difficult to examine, difficult to stabilize, free from all verbal expressions, incomparable, not even comparable to the sky. Immeasurable, free from measure, neither a measure, nor a reason, nor can it be fathomed by speculation, because it does not depend on anything, so the mind has no place, no support, it is not annihilation, it is not permanent, it is not a collection, it does not arise from a cause, it is not produced by conditions. It is also not self, not other, not that, without lineage, without cause, not dissipating, not appearing, without essence, as it is, primordial purity is not seen. True, unwavering, solitary, not seen even a little, completely unseen, not discriminating, completely not discriminating, not moving, not thinking, not fabricating. Because the mind has no form, enlightenment has no form. The nature of mind is enlightenment, the nature of enlightenment is dharma.

All dharmas are thus. The nature of all dharmas is the bindu of original purity, that is the very reality. The manifestation of mind, like the unobstructed, radiant, energetic rays of the bindu, is swift, exceedingly swift, un abiding, flowing, like a monkey, like the wind, like a mirage, like a stream of water, like a flame, without a body, going far, not going anywhere, not returning, Abiding in a place, the domain of the six senses, all-knowing, uniquely capable, unborn, all-arising, abiding in peace, distinct, one, undistracted, completely distracted. If sought, it has no characteristics or nature. Unobservable, to be habituated. Definitely constant, completely examined. Appearing as anything, yet without being anything. In the universal arising, all are gathered into one. Pervading all, yet nothing is born from all. In complete purity, nothing is established. The all-encompassing bindu of original purity is without pervasion, without non-pervasion, without high or low, without large or small, without good or bad, without wide or narrow, without cause and effect, without male or female, without lineage, without form, without karmic ripening, without inside or outside, without birth, without change, without darkness or light, without before or after, without beginning or end, without self or other, without effort or accomplishment, without acceptance or rejection, naturally unconditioned, completely clear with light, uncorrupted, unborn, uncreated. Then, with natural clarity, when asking the teacher, what is the general characteristic and nature of dharma? The teacher replied: In the essence of unborn original purity, appearance and non-appearance, existence and non-existence, permanence and impermanence, beginning and end, phenomenal existence, samsara and nirvana, buddhas and sentient beings, objects and mind, self and other, enemies and friends, attachment and aversion to appearances, the emptiness of appearances, all of these are inexpressible, without example, unspeakable, without the terminology of words, only to be pointed out as this. Samantabhadra cannot express it. Realize the all-encompassing bindu of that. Thus he spoke. The ninth chapter, the instruction on the bindu, is complete. Then, with energetic clarity, Precious One asked the teacher of stainless original purity, how to explain the essence of the nine seed syllables of the general essence mantra, the ten heart lights, and the key points of the mandala? The teacher
