The Indian abbot Śrī Siddha and the Tibetan translator Vairocana translated it. The Tantra of "Intelligence Clear Like the Sky." Homage to the wisdom of intelligence. Thus I have heard, at one time, in the realm of the Dharma-nature, the sphere of space, the Bhagavan was dwelling, and the Teacher himself was present, along with the retinue that arose from him, was in accordance with him, and learned from him, namely earth, water, fire, wind, and space, as well as the Buddhas of the past, future, and present, the four yogis, abiding in one method with inseparable compassion. Then, the retinue that arose from the emanation of the Teacher himself, Vajrasattva, urged the Teacher and spoke thus: All-knowing, supreme eye! Cutter of all doubts! Having reached the end of the straight path, you do not speak of the definitive vehicle. Great compassionate one, do you not move? Having been urged thus, the Teacher, from his own wisdom, manifested his own great appearance and said: Because you possess the wisdom of all Buddhas, you two are lions of speech. The nature of body, speech, and mind is said to be wonderful. The precious magical appearances and methods appear to the minds of those who have faith. The inexpressible Dharma-nature is the meaning of the Dharma-nature of all dharmas. Thus he spoke. Then, the Teacher again created an emanation of an emanation, and that emanation of an emanation spoke thus: In the unborn nature of my mind, the meaning of your arising is like an illusion. In the effortless nature of my mind, you accomplish it through causes and conditions. From the unborn comes birth, and from the unceasing comes cessation. I find it difficult to fathom ignorance. Please illuminate it with the lamp of speech. After thus requesting, the Teacher spoke thus: If the nature of all minds is unborn, if permanence is permanent with green, it is the disease of delusion. Its nature is nothing, unborn. The miraculous display of the unborn appears as birth. Thus he spoke. From the Tantra of "Intelligence Clear Like the Sky."

The first chapter, the introduction. Then, the emanation of the emanation spoke thus: The three things are inseparable, Abiding in the uncreated body, speech, and mind. The five afflictions, such as pleasure, Without cause, unarisen, self-illuminating, pure. The result of examination is like an illusion, Equally abiding like the edge of the sky. Primordially accomplished, without change, Without inner or outer, pervading all. All gather and arise from it, All phenomena of appearance are. Said to be the self-born king without seeking, Indescribable and spontaneously perfect. The nature of Samantabhadra is without acceptance or rejection, The nature of reality is inconceivable, like the sky. Do not meditate on anything, do not seek, do not focus, Do not scatter, do not gather, but leave it naturally. The essence of all dharmas does not change into one taste, Not born from a cause, free from the cause of conceptualization. Its nature is that, it is not clear, Because there is no antidote, it is self-knowing. Not abiding, not relying, not clinging, free from objects, Without effort-created, and without self-nature. Without limbs that precede, The result is without nature, primordially spontaneously accomplished. Endowed with confidence, there is nothing to accomplish, Without characteristics, the dharma of non-effort, nothing is effort. The nature of the unborn mind is inexpressible liberation, Self-nature appearance, non-effort, free from symbols. In the nature of reality, free from cause, effect, and support, Seeing cause and effect as imputation is dharma. Not born from the five elements, there is no arising, Do not focus on body, speech, and mind, do not cling to support. Abiding in self-nature, it arrives without seeking, Past, future, present, without hearing, virtuous. The nature of dharma is clear, without appearance, Non-conceptual, inconceivable, great wisdom. Not examination, awareness is valid cognition, The characteristics of the three knowledges are clearly unmixed. Awareness is unobstructed, like the edge of the sky, Clear like the light of the sun, and self-knowing appearance. Non-dual, inseparable, do not think of anything, The nature of mistaken conceptualization is bodhicitta. All dharma nature is self-illuminating, mind nature is clear, All actions abide in bodhicitta. The realm and wisdom are not different, Without the grasping of characteristics, and in that state. The nature of skillful means abides in the meaning of connection. Thus he spoke. From the tantra of awareness clear as the sky, the chapter on showing the view.
