The Tantra of the Universal Victory Banner Knot, a Compilation of Space, Thunder, and Lightning. In Sanskrit: Gaganaga Putaravana Megha Jyotya Beshormi Samaja Samanya Jaya Mudra Grantha Tantra. In Tibetan: The Tantra of the Universal Victory Banner Knot, a Compilation of Space, Thunder, and Lightning. Homage to the Bindu of All Gathered. Thus I have heard, I have not heard, I have not compared, I have not spoken. When there is no time, in the realm of the unborn essence, the primordially pure Dharmakaya abides. In the emptiness of non-existence, he speaks to the retinue of transcending mind and non-action. When there is no before and no after, and the three times are inseparable, the compiler is the emptiness of non-existence. This is the perfect teaching. Then, the young boy of pure essence asked the unborn, primordially pure Dharmakaya: If the meaning of perfection is like this, is there such a thing as Buddhahood or not? What is meant by the term sentient being? Is that very nature one or not one? If one, then how do samsara and nirvana arise? If not one, is there no connection? Thus he asked the teacher. The teacher spoke to the retinue: Because there is no Buddha, there is no name for Buddha. In the very nature of primordial purity, there is no Buddha. The term sentient being refers to those with moving thoughts and suffering. These two have no basis for establishment. Because they arise from nothing, their nature is one. Although the nature is one, the appearances are twofold. Although samsara and nirvana arise, they are not different, but are connected in nature. Thus he spoke. The first chapter, on perfection, debate, and the basis of debate. Then, the young boy of pure essence asked the primordially pure nature: Do mind and all phenomena exist or not? What do body and wisdom refer to? Do the five poisons and five bodies exist or not? What do ignorance and wisdom refer to? Do samsara and nirvana exist or not? What do Buddha and sentient beings refer to? Do good and evil deeds exist or not? What do the higher realms and lower realms refer to? Do the teachings of listening and speaking exist or not? What do the countless vehicles refer to? Do habits and obscurations exist or not? What do karmic results and maturation refer to? Thus he asked the teacher. The second chapter, on the retinue's debate. Then, the young boy of pure essence asked: Do phenomena and mind exist or not? After asking this, the teacher spoke to the retinue: In the emptiness of non-existence and primordial purity, there is not even a name for phenomena.
