Among the two kinds of treatments for expulsion, the first is the initial treatment for seeing an offense. For unpleasant conduct, there are five: severe rebuke, scolding, expulsion, dismissal, and banishment from the Sangha. The first four have no distinction. The fifth, banishment from the Sangha, has seven situations: not seeing the offense, not repenting, holding wrong views, quarreling, creating causes for quarreling, being intimate with and residing with nuns, and not being pacified by a Dharma-based resolution. These individuals should be banished from the Sangha. The second is the basis for relocation conduct: relocation, pleasing, and the conduct and expulsion of these two. The first is relocation: relocation, relocation from the root, initiating and relocating from the root. The second is pleasing: pleasing, pleasing from the root, initiating and pleasing from the root, totaling three. The third is the conduct of these two: not accepting respect, not treating equally, not working, not residing in the Sangha, ultimately being deprived of power, totaling five. The fourth is expulsion, which has no distinction. Regarding the basis of individuals: concealing, not knowing, being subject to unlimited karmic categories, five categories of immeasurable karma, and the treatment by the majority, totaling six. Regarding the basis of instruction, healing, prohibition, and placement: Dharma with a basis, discussing without a basis, discussing other bases, discussing a basis that has already been confessed, non-Dharma, and the Sangha from which these arise. The second is the treatment for resolving disputes: the basis of disputes, the basis of separation from Kauśāmbī, and the basis of schism in the Sangha, totaling three. The first is the basis of disputes: actual matters and reconciliation, two types. The first includes: for possessions, not choosing, for offenses, for actions, totaling four. Reconciliation is: presence, mindfulness, non-delusion, and similarly, the nature of the majority. Like spreading out grass, and what should be promised. Thus it is said. Among these, for possessions includes: presence and the majority, two types. The first is presence: if the previous one has not been pacified, then the subsequent one should pacify it. This also has eight: the debater, the mediator, the Sangha foundation, clarity and the clarity of clarity, other Sanghas and Vinaya holders, and those endowed with the power of dwelling, for the sake of action. The majority is: if it is not pacified by this, then distribute the voting sticks, to the side of the majority. For choosing includes: presence, mindfulness, non-delusion, three types. The first is for offenses that can be discussed, as before, there are eight types of presence; for those that cannot be discussed, there are four. Without a basis, of another basis, returning, delusion.

Regarding the discussion of actions done, there are four types. The first three are: the recollection of the four requests of the action, "There is no fault in this." The fourth is: since no fault was committed while not intoxicated, there is no downfall. The causes for downfall are four: nature, admission, presence, and grass-spreading. The first is: seeking the nature of the fault that one does not understand. Understanding one's own nature also has two aspects: if it does not extend beyond the subject of discussion, it is admission; if it extends, there are also two: individual matters, and matters related to the entire Sangha. The first is presence. The latter, like grass-spreading, is to pacify by mutually yielding and with everyone being of one mind. The purpose of the action: the Sangha agrees, directly pacifying, and indirectly pacifying through all seven methods of pacification. In Kauśāmbī, there are two: abandoning the cause and relying on the antidote. The basis of discord: definition, faults, and pacification. The basis of action that pervades all is: one hundred and one actions. Actions done towards those who belong to sentient beings and those who do not. For those who belong, there are two: those who have taken full ordination and those who have not. For all, there are actions that are in accordance with and not in accordance with the Dharma, and actions that are compatible and incompatible. The former is what should be accomplished, and the latter two are what should be abandoned. Good! It seems to be a record of oral transmission. May there be auspiciousness! Explanation of the seventeen subjects of training for practice.
