Praise to the Sugata's Speech, the Great Perfection of Primordial Liberation. Praise to the Sugata's Speech, the Great Perfection of Primordial Liberation. Praise to the Sugata's Speech, the Great Perfection of Primordial Liberation, called "A Hanging Cluster of Beryl." The Seal of the Heart. Homage to the Glorious Lord of the Wheel. Whose essence is a space like the sky, samsara and nirvana are not two. The Great Perfection, free from elaboration and perfectly accomplished, I pay homage to the unlocalized, beyond comprehension. 1. Whatever it may be, towards the side of existence and non-existence, not grasping as two, not specifically distinguishing, uncorrupted by philosophical tenets, unbound by memory, ordinary awareness is beyond both effort and accomplishment. 2. "This is I, primordially unconfused," thus spoke the Primordial Buddha, the Teacher of the Dharmakaya. Just by speaking, the key point of transcending cause and effect is known, and fortunate ones, knowing this, abide in their own nature. 3. With one word, all the words of the eons are made false, and nothing is spoken. To whom is it spoken, and the object of speech is not specified. In the space of the Dharmakaya, samsara and nirvana become mingled. 4. Knowing that nature, one becomes a noble being. Although seeing the truth, one does not grasp it as true. Definitive understanding is exhausted, and the mind of philosophical tenets is lost. The terminology of view, meditation, and action ceases there. 5. Alas! The learned ones are the poison of conceptual thought. The more they taste it, the more they mistake one for two. Not seeing the Dharmakaya abiding in itself, they count the dust particles of existence and hope to find it. 6. Whatever the holy ones have shown, whatever is found from oneself, washes away the defilements of existence. Knowing the key point of being content with abiding in one's own nature, no one will be distracted by false teachings. 7. By what, samsara and nirvana are like the sky. In the Dharma-nature of enlightenment, which is like the sky, who knows that the names of birth and death cease? Then there will be no previous or subsequent lifetimes for that one. 8. Therefore, what is the use of sin and virtue for whom? Buddhahood is not attained by practicing. This innate nature, free from the effort and accomplishment of grounds and paths, just by seeing it, cause and effect become false. 9. No one has ever been confused about existence in the past. Since one is not confused now and will not be confused in the future, the nature of all is without bondage and liberation. How can there be liberation and freedom in that? 10. The phenomena of existence and non-existence, permanence and annihilation, going and coming, are controlled by the mind.

How can it be transformed? If the mind is used to modify that which transcends the mind, is it not a mistake to use water to stop water? 11 If one says "there is one," it is thinking and speaking from the perspective of conventional truth. If one says "there is some absence," it is focused on the ultimate truth. However, the poison of fixation pervades both, so the Dharmakaya, which is without any object of fixation, cannot be known. 12 The delusion bound by skillful means is a mistaken path. One hopes for the Dharmakaya in the mind that is clear and blissful. Alas! The primordial mind, in its stainless state, always abides within itself, but it is not seen. 13 Scattered and relaxed, the nature is vast and expansive. What need is there to correct this foolish mind? Correcting and correcting again, the mind's conceptual thoughts surge, only obscuring one's own nature. 14 That which transcends example cannot be illustrated by example. That which is free from words, what need is there to empower with words? If one is already mature from the beginning, there is no need for initial maturation. Therefore, to speak of "maturation" and "liberation" is to speak falsely. 15 With various philosophical tenets, the minds of children are deceived. For that which is free from gradual effort, entrances to gradual vehicles are established. With view, meditation, and conduct, all yogis are deceived, only leading them further away from the essence of the Dharmakaya. 16 Although profound yoga transcends words, it is bound by the boxes of various vehicles. This appears as a sword for the purpose of cutting, like a knot in the sky. What is there now that cannot be shattered? 17 Whatever appears is entirely true. Whatever is, its essence is beyond thought and expression. There is neither is nor is not, the one who asserts has disappeared. Realization and non-realization do not exist from the beginning. 18 Unshown by anyone, ungrasped by anything, the liberation equal to space, the Great Perfection, transcends words and sounds, without path or letters. Like the sky, it is naturally self-arisen from the beginning. 19 Without effort or practice, the leisure of being enlightened from the beginning, self-aware, spontaneously present, the pure land of great bliss. Samsara and Nirvana are all of one taste from the beginning, spontaneously accomplished without effort, adorned with the vajra arrangement. 20 When self-nature is known, one is oneself a Buddha. This mind free from concepts is the sole Dharmakaya. When good and bad, virtue and vice, vanish like clouds, the primordial mind is clear like the pure sun. 21 Knowing this certainty, the essential yogi, from the realm of the Dharmakaya, wisdom descends, devouring delusions and concepts like a venomous snake, becoming like an eagle soaring in the sky, without partiality. 22 Alas!
