Collected Teachings of Je Tsongkhapa JTs124, a draft of the Vajradhatu Mandala ritual personally written by Je Tsongkhapa. A draft of the Vajradhatu Mandala ritual personally written by Je Tsongkhapa. For peaceful supplications and individual actions, the elaborate ritual begins from the east. Simultaneously, offerings, purification, blessings, and descents are performed. Then, from the four directions, the three thousand worlds are offered in sequence, followed by outer and inner offerings. During the praise with the hundred syllables, different melodies are sung, and the hand gestures and bell-vajra movements are performed in the same manner. If it is not completed, then eight types of offerings, etc., are performed starting from the east. After the praise is completed, the mandala is arranged. Then, stand up and offer, reciting the words from 'I and others receive.' If it is a union of two family lords, then supplications are made sequentially from each gate. Others wait at the gate, standing up simultaneously, singing two lines of lyrics, repeating the last verse twice. During these chants, the bell-vajra of the five families is shaken during the chanting, and the bell is rung once at the end of the verse. The bell is rung once at the beginning of the chant, and finally, with the right foot leading, on a stable base, the bell is rung once, then kneeling on one knee, reciting 'Guru,' etc., offerings are made simultaneously from the four directions. The master receives in order from the direction of circumambulation. Then, stand up and face east, arranged north and south, with the right foot leading, on a stable base, accompanied by dance, and finally maintain balance and bow. Then, to generate pride, move both feet in each direction, first shaking the bell-vajra. For the second, the master believes that the Vajrasattva, Ratnasambhava, Dharma, and Mahamudra should be formed. The first two lines lean to the right, forming the hand gestures of Vairochana and Vajrasattva, facing east. The third line leans to the right, forming the hand gesture of Vajrasattva. The fourth line extends the left leg, forming the Hum mudra, facing south. The fifth line bends down, forming the hand gestures of Dharma and Mahamudra, facing west. The sixth line bends the body, forming the hand gesture of Ratnasambhava, facing north. The seventh line is like the second line, and the eighth line extends the left leg, forming the hand gesture of Vajrasattva, facing east. Others say so. Then bless the eyes, establish the mandala, bless the ground, and look with the hand gesture of Vajrasattva. Then bless the feet like a rosary, reciting the four Hum mantras, and circumambulate with various Vajra steps. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It is said that from the peak of Mount Meru to the realm of wind, everything is transformed into the nature of Vajra. This is necessary for the extensive ritual. If it is a medium ritual, then from there generate the appearance of burning like fire. Invite the Wrathful Deities, and in the praise, begin with the tone of the mandala base, inviting in sequence, ringing the five family bells. Like the fire of the eon, proceed with fierce and terrifying steps. On the mandala base, according to one's own melody, perform the ground dance. If not doing the sun and moon radiance, then ring the bell on the Hum syllable, and do that at the beginning of the word as well. Then, coordinating with the rhythm of lifting and placing, ring the five family bells, and finally move to the right on the first three Hums, and move to the left on the last four. If dancing like the ground ritual, first make the Hum mudra, then the arrow and bow mudra, then the sword mudra, then the vajra lasso mudra. In the space between each foot's words, without lifting the previous word, step left and right at the rhythm of the melody. Then perform the first command, including the removal of obstacles. Then, starting from the three of striking, burning, and binding, up to the tent. Then, according to the sequence of the mandala ritual, up to the cleansing water, this is the ground ritual. The concise ritual is: invitation etc. separated from the melody. The extensive ritual is: starting from the continuation of the steps, the offerings of the three thousand worlds, without a base, the same as other coquetry etc. Then the hundred-syllable mantra of the Vajra family, praising with the external steps and melody of a Bodhisattva. Here, offerings are not made. If accomplished, then the masters of the door and center wear clothes of the colors of the directions, and the masters can do so beforehand as well. Then make supplication, from each direction emit one melody, and do two verses each. On the first three syllables of the melody, shake the five family bells, and on the last syllable, spin and dance, assuming the lotus position. Here, mandalas are not offered. In the following supplication, only make the melody. Do not make other mudras. Together with the Wrathful Deities, complete the steps of subjugation, and say 'the untamed ones'. When raising the Hum syllable, first with a fierce base, accompanied by ringing the bell, extend the left leg, and with each jump, recite two mantras, spinning and dancing at Samantabhadra, assuming the lotus position. Before the four faces, ring the bell once. On the two phrases of forming the five family mudras, looking at it, on the first phrase shake the five family bells, and on the second phrase spin and dance, assuming the lotus position. When the ground is blessed, the feet are blessed, and the steps are as before. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
