Like a butcher, to dispel the darkness of ignorance. A virtuous friend is like light, to draw out from the mire of afflictions. A virtuous friend is like a giant, therefore seek a virtuous friend. If you do not enter the sacred gate of Dharma, even if you obtain a human body, it is meaningless. Without striving for the fundamental, no matter how much effort you make, there is no essence of accomplishment in actions that cannot be decided. It is futile to be idle on top of nothing, speaking endless empty words, no matter how much you speak, it is useless. Understanding little of the important meaning, the unspoken experience is in vain, do not place hope in unattainable wishes. Merely imagining and burning in the mind is just the distance of thought. It is difficult to achieve everything you want, take what happens as work, do not have irrelevant affections. No matter how much affection arises, it will not always accompany you. Like a mirage in a dream, cut off irrelevant thoughts. The Noble Tree Sutra is complete.
