The Noble King of Vidyāmantra of Expelling. The Noble King of Vidyāmantra of Expelling. ༄༅། །The Noble King of Vidyāmantra of Expelling resides here. In Sanskrit: Ārya Drāviḍa Vidyā Rāza. In Tibetan: The Noble King of Vidyāmantra of Expelling. Homage to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Thus have I heard. Once, the Bhagavan was dwelling in Śrāvastī, in the Jeta Grove, in the courtyard of the Bamboo Sprout Monastery. Then, the Bhagavan addressed the venerable Ānanda: Ānanda, you should uphold the mantras spoken by the Buddhas, the perfectly complete Buddhas of the past, which repel all lightning, each separately. Ānanda, in the east, there is lightning called "Coming." Ānanda, in the south, there is lightning called "Hundred Voices." Ānanda, in the west, there is lightning called "Diminished Light." Ānanda, in the north, there is lightning called "Constant Owner." Ānanda, whoever knows the names of these lightning bolts and knows the directions in which they are located should know that all fear of lightning will not occur to that person. One who makes the three realms appear, one who holds the trident in his hand, in this direction, protect me from all lightning, protect me, svāhā. Again, at that time, the Bodhisattva Mahāsattva, the Noble Avalokiteśvara, gathered in that assembly and sat there, and spoke thus to the Bhagavan: Bhagavan, I will also speak the root secret mantras of expelling in this Dharma category: Tadyathā. Hate Bihate. Nihata. Pratya rthi Ke. Pradye Mitre. Śuddhe. Mukte. Vimalé. Prabha Svare. Aṇḍare. Paṇḍare. Śvete. Paṇḍa. Rabā Sini. Hari Kara Di. Piṃga Lākṣi Dadhi Mukhi. May I not see all untimely deaths through the glory of Gi. Svāhā. Then the Lord of Secrets, Vajrapani, bowed with folded palms to the Blessed One and said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, I will also recite the words of the dharani for this Dharma category. Tadyathā. Mune mune. Mune mune. Reri. Mati mati. Sumati. Mahāmati. Hā hā hā hā. You have no sin. Do not be afraid, said Vajrapani. Dhrida svāhā. Blessed One, whose heart should hold this invincible protection of mine? If it is written in letters, I will always protect that person from all fears. May they be liberated from all untimely deaths. Then Brahma, the lord of the Sahā world, said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, for the benefit of all sentient beings, for healing and for creating happiness, I will also recite the root mantras of the dharani for this Dharma category. Tadyathā. Hili mili. Tsili svāhā. Brahma sare svare svāhā. Brasma garbha puṣpa saṃstara svāhā. Blessed One, this is my protection, called the punishment of Brahma. It completely protects from all untimely deaths and completely pacifies all sins. Then Indra, the lord of the gods, bowed with folded palms to the Blessed One and said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, I will also recite the root mantras of the dharani for this Dharma category. Venerable Blessed One, this is my vidyā-mantra, called the Vajra Descent, which liberates from all fears and completely protects from all untimely deaths. Blessed One, in order to liberate us from the state of dragons and to abandon stinginess, please accept this with compassion. Why is that?
