The Noble Mañjuśrī The Noble Mañjuśrī ༄༅། །The Noble Mañjuśrī Dhāraṇī Ritual. In Sanskrit: Ārya Samantabhadra nāma dhāraṇi. In Tibetan: The Noble Mañjuśrī Dhāraṇī. Homage to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas! Thus I have heard: At one time, the Blessed One was dwelling on Vulture Peak Mountain in the city of Rajagriha, together with a great sangha of eight thousand bhikshus, and ninety-nine kotis of hundreds of thousands of nayutas of bodhisattvas. Countless sons of gods of pure lineage surrounded him, listening to the Dharma before him. Then, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Avalokiteśvara rose from his seat, arranged his upper robe over one shoulder, knelt on his right knee, and, with palms joined, bowed in the direction of the Blessed One, and spoke thus to the Blessed One: Blessed One, now I shall declare the Mañjuśrī Dhāraṇī taken from the light of the Tathagata Moon. As soon as they hear this dhāraṇī, the practitioners of the Bodhisattva Vehicle will not turn back, and will quickly realize the Unsurpassed Perfect Enlightenment. All karmic obscurations will also be eliminated. They will also enjoy vast and perfect blessings. They will also obtain purity of body. They will also obtain purity of speech. They will also obtain purity of mind. They will also perfect all the oceans of pāramitās. They will also obtain all the oceans of dhāraṇīs. They will also please all the Tathagatas. Blessed One, as soon as I hear this dhāraṇī, I will obtain the tolerance of non-arising dharmas. I will also obtain the samādhi of the brave and blazing. I will also obtain the samādhi of the precious seal. I will also obtain the samādhi of the blazing lamp. I will also obtain the samādhi of the ocean seal. I will also obtain the samādhi of the vajra mandala. I will also obtain the samādhi of the inexhaustible treasure chest. I will also obtain the samādhi of illusion. World Honored One, my hearing has become meaningful, hearing this dharani has become meaningful. World Honored One, please grant permission, and also please have all the fourfold assembly remember. The World Honored One said: If sentient beings know that the time has come, then speak. The Tathagata has already blessed this fourfold assembly.
