《Noble Great Vehicle Sutra Called Immeasurable Life and Wisdom》 《Noble Great Vehicle Sutra Called Immeasurable Life and Wisdom》 ༄༅། །The Noble Great Vehicle Sutra Called Immeasurable Life and Wisdom is present. In the language of India: Ārya Aparimitāyurjñāna Nāma Mahāyāna Sūtra. In the Tibetan language: The Noble Great Vehicle Sutra Called Immeasurable Life and Wisdom. Homage to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas! Thus I have heard. At one time, the Blessed One was in Nyang Yod, in the Jeta Grove of Prince Jeta, in the garden of Anāthapiṇḍada, together with a great community of monks and a vast multitude of Bodhisattvas, great beings. Then, the Blessed One spoke to Mañjuśrī Kumārabhūta, saying: Mañjuśrī, in the direction above, there is a world called Immeasurable Qualities. There resides the Tathāgata, Arhat, Samyaksaṃbuddha, called Immeasurable Life and Wisdom, Supremely Well-Defined, King of Glory. He abides, and is considered to have attained the ultimate in life, and also teaches the Dharma to sentient beings. Mañjuśrī Kumārabhūta, listen! The sentient beings of Jambudvīpa have short lives, mostly living only to be a hundred years old. However, most of them are shown to die untimely deaths. Mañjuśrī, whatever sentient beings write, cause to be written, merely hear the name, read, or copy from a book, even to the point of keeping it in their homes, this Dharma category called "The Utterance of the Qualities and Praises of the Tathāgata Immeasurable Life and Wisdom," or make offerings with flowers, incense, garlands, ointments, and powders, their lives, having been completely exhausted, will again live to be a hundred years old. Mañjuśrī, whatever sentient beings hear the hundred and eight names of Immeasurable Life and Wisdom, Supremely Well-Defined, King of Glory, their lives will also increase. Whatever sentient beings hold the name at the end of their lives, their lives will also increase. Mañjuśrī, therefore
