Fourth, instead of following whatever thoughts arise, gather all the conceptual thoughts back into the empty nature of mind, and rest in the state of self-liberation and self-resolution. This is known as "gathering the sense consciousnesses into the ground." Fifth, whatever enjoyments are used and experienced, dissolve all phenomena into the nature of reality, and enjoy all wisdom dissolving into wisdom. Even do not forget to offer to the lama and yidam. This is known as "taking desirable objects as a companion on the path." Sixth, at the time of one's own death, abandon relatives, friends, possessions, and all the supportive conditions of this life, and settle the mind in the unborn and undying state like the sky, decisively, and rest in a state of without support and without meditation, that is enough. This is known as the yoga of thoroughly realizing wisdom at the time of death. These six are the stages of utilizing the path. Through these, the lineage of the eight great Indian siddhas, the four root bodies, and other accomplished ones, spread from Naropa, Marpa, Milarepa, etc., to Tibet. From the treasury of instructions of Infinite Intelligence, Minyak Geshe Kunsang Sonam collected it and gave it to So Gya, who then imparted it to Choying Rangdrol.
